Being Flynn is Paul Weitz’s version of A Better Life, so to speak. In the past few years, the Weitz brothers have individually (and literally) gone from big blockbusters (Little Fockers, The Twilight Saga: New Moon) to more personal projects about the complications between father and son relationships. Adapted from Nick Flynn’s acclaimed 2004 memoir Another Bullshit Night In Suck City, Being Flynn tells the story between Nick, played by Paul Dano, and his estranged father of 18-years, Jonathan Flynn, played by Robert De Niro.

Meet the Parents was a hilarious movie that put a fresh twist on the “awkward in-law” scenario that most of us will face at some point in our lives. It’s sequel Meet the Fockers took that concept and beat it to death and the third film, Little Fockers just makes us ask why? Why make the movie? Why continue on this downward spiral that does nothing but take us to bad places? Get ready for some old, tired, and reused jokes that include erectile dysfunction and precocious children. It’s time for a film that no one has heard of! Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, (yes I know, another vampire film) which is kind of like a horror film for kids, starring John C. Reilly, Ken Watanabe, Josh Hutcherson, Chris Massoglia,Willem Dafoe and Salma Hayek, and directed by Paul Weitz.
I have no idea what to say about this movie. I want to hate it and yet I find the trailer amusing (damn you John C. Reilly for being so good in everything).
