Ephron also wrote the screenplay for the film, which is a combination of the books “My Life in France” and the self titled “Julie & Julia”. “My Life in France” is the autobiography of the late Julia Child, while “Julie & Julia” is a book written by the film’s main character Julie Powell. The film reunites Doubt stars Meryl Streep and Amy Adams as it’s leads and will open in theaters this summer on August 7.
