Well I may have been wrong in my box office predictions. Night at the Museum managed to rally $15.3 million at the box office on Friday and Terminator Salvation only pulled in $13.4 million on Thursday.

Who will be the winner? We’ll see on Tuesday!

This weekend Terminator Salvation and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian are going to be battling it out at the box office, but who will bring in the most viewers and which one is actually worth seeing?

Terminator and Night at the Museum, both have their ups and downs. The big difference is that Terminator is a serious, end of the world film and Night at the Museum is about a fun romp through a museum.

So who will dominate the box office this weekend?

This week, the movie world has a little bit for everyone from the big blockbuster Terminator Salvation to family comedy Night at Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. If you are in the mood for something different and more edgy there is director Steven Soderberg’s The Girlfriend Experience, which follows the life of a call-girl, played by real life porn star Sasha Gray. My personal favorite has to be Easy Virtue starring Jessica Biel, Kristin Scott Thomas and Colin Firth. It’s the story of a young Englishman who takes his new American Bride to meet his family in England. It is the classic mother-in-law against new daughter-in-law storyline.

Amy Adams will star in 20th Century Fox’s adaptation of Adena Halpern‘s novel “The Ten Best Days of My Life.” Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) is looking to direct the film and Amy Adams will produce the film with Tim McNulty of 21 Laps.

Levy has said, “I’ve known Adena for over a decade, and there is Amy, reading her book on set,” Levy said. “I told her I knew the writer, she said she was loving the book, and I asked her if we should try to do this together…There is a father-daughter dynamic at the heart of the character’s redemption, and as the father of three girls, that resonated strongly for me.”
