The drama behind the accidental New Moon bootlegging incident has come to an end. Weeks ago a Chicago woman was arrested for having footage from the film on her digital camera and even though she insisted that she had no intention of bootlegging the movie, she still ended up in jail.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon made a killing at the box office when it debuted in theaters, regardless of online piracy and bootlegging. Recently a woman was arrested for attempting to record the movie at a local theater, and she’s gained a massive amount of media attention. She even caught the eye of New Moon director Chris Weitz who is speaking out in her defense.
The FX cable network has acquired the television rights to broadcast The Twilight Saga over the next couple of years. They also scooped up two sci-fi movies and an Oscar hopeful thanks to preexisting agreements they have with Summit Entertainment and various other studios.
After New Moon made over 140 million dollars at the box office, it’s safe to say that Twilight fans are dedicated and some are even down right obsessed. For those of us who aren’t a part of the Twilight fan club, we see this sort of behavior as unhealthy and someone has finally stepped up and staged an intervention.

Twihards came out in full force on Friday for The Twilight Saga: New Moon causing the film to break box office records left and right. First, New Moon became the highest advance ticket seller off all time, and now they’ve managed to break The Dark Knight’s record for having the largest single day opening ever!
If you’re a movie coming out this weekend that doesn’t have a vampire or a werewolf as its central character, you’re screwed. No one stands a chance against the Goliath that is New Moon, but here are a list of today’s opening releases that will more than likely be overshadowed by drawn on abs and red contacts.
If you’re looking for a heart-warming drama, check out Sandra Bullock‘s new film, The Blind Side, and for a more kid-friendly vibe there’s the animated alien feature, Planet 51. The rest of the films listed are in limited release, so check out the tickets and times to see if they’re playing at a theater near you.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon hit theaters today and fans literally fought tooth and nail for their opening night tickets. Last year when Twilight debuted it brought in an estimated 70 million dollars during its opening weekend, and with the growing popularity of its lead stars New Moon looks to blow that number out of the water!
Get your Team Jacob shirts out for the second film in the Twilight series New Moon, starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. Unfortunately, the actors reprise their roles in a film filled with interesting things that go absolutely nowhere. Stephenie Meyer‘s book isn’t that great and director Chris Weitz tried his best to get around it, but the sparkling chests and shirt tearing was just too much to bear.

Personally, I think that Taylor Lautner and his darling abs were completely exploited in New Moon, that being said, his body wasn’t the only thing to develop from the first to second film, so did his acting. I was as surprised as the next non-Twilighter to see that Lautner actually does the best anyone could have done with the role and in a way, wins over the audience.
After Twilight, girls were melting for Robert Pattinson as Edward, but something tells me that after New Moon, there are going to be a lot of fans swapping over to Team Jacob. For many people watching, the choice that Bella has to make between Edward and Jacob seems like an easy one, Jacob is gorgeous, sweet, takes care of her, why the hell would you go chasing after some other douchebag that left you for no good reason?
