Visionary director Duncan Jones is back with Source Code a film that maintains the intellect and sophistication of his first work Moon, but this time with whole lot more punch. His latest film somehow manages to appeal to mainstream audiences with pace, action and effects, without losing the details, story and character development that we loved in Moon. Truly it’s the best of both. A number of directors fumble on their second films after having their first film have such an impact. Many people questioned Jones but any doubts that you might have are blown away by the time you’re finished with the opening sequence of Source Code.

The first trailer for Todd Phillips follow up to the 2009 megahit The Hangover is Due Date. It reunites the director with actor Zach Galifianakis and brings on newbies Robert Downey Jr, Michelle Monaghan, and Jamie Foxx. Michelle Monaghan has been cast in the upcoming Todd Phillips comedy, Due Date. According to Collider the actress will star as the female lead opposite Robert Downey Jr., and Zach Galifianakis. This will be a reunion for Monaghan and Downey who previously starred together in the 2005 film, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It will also be the reteaming for Phillips and Galifianakis who were both a part of this summer’s hit, The Hangover.

Hold on to your hats Summer Blockbuster fans, because just before the race to Oscar season starts to heat up, Hollywood is lobbing one final slam/bam explosion filled grenade at us. This one goes by the name of Eagle Eye and trust me, it’s a doozy. I’d like to be a responsible film critic and give you a short synopsis without giving to much away, but Eagle Eye borrows from so many films it’s hard to know where to begin. So please accept this tiny spoiler alert instead.
The Government is in danger of itself, only they don’t know it yet, and by the time they manage to figure it out, well, lets just say it’s going to be way to late. Through a strange twist of fate involving the most evil computer program you can think of, two characters portrayed by (Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan) are tasked with saving the day. Problem is, he’s wanted for a possible terrorist activity and she’s worried that her son won’t make it to brand practice on time. FBI investigator (Billy Bob Thorton) is hot on their trail, and nipping closely at his heels is an Air Force OSI officer, courtesy of (Rosario Dawson). Throw in an sound sensitive exotic gemstone that has the ability to blow up large areas of space and people, and there you have it.
