I was wondering when we’d get to see some photos of Michael Douglas on the set of Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. We previously brought you some shots of Shia Labeouf, Frank Langella, and director Oliver Stone filming in New York, but Douglas was nowhere to be found. Thanks to the people over at Splash News, we’ve discovered some images of the original bad boy broker over 20 years later.

Take a look at Gordon Gekko in action…

liberace09 9 15 Matt Damon to Play Michael Douglas Gay Lover in Liberace Bio?

Something tells me this is a rumor. I have a pit in my stomach and the source of the story being People doesn’t help the matter. But oh well, here’s the “news,” I reserve the right to take it back later…

Michael Douglas is set to play Liberace in the film biography directed by Steven Soderbergh (this much we had heard before), and Matt Damon has officially “accepted the challenge” of playing Scott Thorsen his longtime lover. Who ever saw that pair coming? They are going to have Douglas playing a campy musical performer dressed in glitter and Matt Damon as the assistant/boyfriend who “outed” the entertainer in 1982 over a palimony suit for $110 million.

According to People and backed by a French Newspaper at the Deauville Film Festival (with no link), Soberbergh is already rolling ahead with the new film before his latest one The Informant hits theater. They’ve even got Michael in playing dress up already…

Picture 141 Michael Douglas Talks Gordon Gekko, Wall Street 2

Last week we brought you some behind the scenes photos of Shia Labeouf, Frank Langella, and director Oliver Stone on the set of Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. As an obvious observation, Michael Douglas was nowhere in sight. The actor is set to reprise his Oscar winning role of Gordon Gekko in the film, which has been over 20 years in the making. We haven’t heard much from Douglas since his initial attachment to the sequel, but the actor has finally broken his silence and is filling us in on what his character’s been up to for the past two decades.

wallstreet Shia Labeouf to Star in Wall Street 2?

Sequels and remakes have been ridiculously hot these past few years, and they don’t seem to show any signs of stopping. According to THR, Oliver Stone’s gritty financial drama Wall Street must have another story to tell, because part two is on it’s way. Stone has officially signed on to direct a sequel to the 1987 film with studio 20th Century Fox. The plot to the film is being kept under wraps, and for the time being the project has been given the title of Wall Street 2.

ghosts of girlfriends09 1 28 New Ghosts of Girlfriends Past Trailer

Okay, what is Michael Douglas doing in a wedding film that has no exploitation, explosions, or what looks like anything extraordinary? Matthew Mcconaughey is back on the big screen looking tanner and more buff than ever, to play a man who is haunted by his girlfriends past. He’s Scrooge, but instead of needing to learn the Christmas spirit he has to learn how to love women instead of just using them.

kathleenturner08 12 04 NEWS: Romancing the Stone Remake

ANOTHER ONE! Seriously, leave the 80′s alone! Fox has for some reason decided that they need ANOTHER Romancing the Stone. The have asked Eagle Eye writer Daniel McDermott to write the screenplay (I bet you there is a chase scene somewhere in the remake, I’d put $50 on it).

The original movie shot stars Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and Danny DeVito into the big leagues and launched Robert Zemeckis career as a director. The story (written by Diane Thomas who died one year after the film was made) was about an uptight novelist (Turner) who travels to Columbia to save her sister and runs into the rugged yet ultimately charming American solider (Douglas) searching for a secret treasure. The two embark on an adventure which is complicated by the evil yet not very threatening villain (DeVito).
