One of the greatest books on film is easily Julie Salamon’s The Devil’s Candy, which chronicled every bad turn Brian De Palma’s adaptation of Bonfire of the Vanities took. At this point, one hopes there’s an author on set of Men in Black III, as there’s undoubtedly a great story to be told about its production. Having hired a new writer mid-shoot, and having delayed production again recently, the film took another hit when Alec Baldwin told Vulture Monday he had to drop out, but was moving on to the Adam Shankman-directed, Tom Cruise-starring musical Rock of Ages.

Poor Men in Black III just can’t catch a break. The Sony production has been hit with a delay according to the Los Angeles Times. You might be asking yourself, what happened? The shoot had already begun last year and we saw our fair share of paparazzi photos from the set. It turns out that MIB3 has been on a nearly two month hiatus, which was supposed to end in February. Unfortunately, it’s been pushed back to March 28.

We’ve been hearing a lot of talk from behind the scenes of Sony’s upcoming sequel Men in Black III. The unconventional shooting schedule has a lot of people questioning whether or not everything is up to code with the production. Two women have joined the cast of Sony’s upcoming Men in Black sequel, Men in Black III. We previously reported that Nicole Scherzinger was rumored to play a small role in the film a few weeks ago, and according to an interview she did with E!Online, it’s been confirmed. There’s also word on everyone’s favorite senior citizen Betty White getting in on the alien action as well.

Earlier this year we learned that Sony would be producing another sequel in their popular Men in Black series. It was revealed that the original cast and crew would return including Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and director Barry Sonnenfeld but in most sequels they always have to infuse new blood. In this case that would be Josh Brolin, an actor who many fans worried would be taking Jones’ place.
