Somehow this new comedy managed to fly under my radar. Chris Rock and Martin Lawrence have teamed up to star in a remake of Death at a Funeral. The original film came out a couple of years ago and was directed by Frank Oz, and for some odd reason Rock and a group of his friends thought it would be a good idea to redo it.

Who the hell thought this was a good idea? I will never understand the obsession with Big Momma’s House. I saw the first movie, and I didn’t think it was that great. The original made money, so the studio made a sequel, and now we’re in that boat all over again! According to Empire, a third Big Momma’s House is in the works, and Martin Lawrence will once again put on his fat suit and curly wig.

Bad Boys 3 in Development

Even though I didn’t despise Bad Boys 2 as much as the rest of the world, I’m surprised by this latest development. According to THR, a third Bad Boys film is in the works. The last time we saw Will Smith and Martin Lawrence team up for the buddy cop film was back in 2003. Columbia Pictures plans to reignite the franchise, and have hired a writer to help them do it.
