We just wrapped Do Not Disturb two days ago and while on a major come-down and tearing apart our set, I received a few stills from our grand finale taken by photographer Brendan Holmes. Our final two films, Intrinsic by Jon Mann-Krieger and Death Takes a Holiday Inn by Brandon Nicholas both use the same cast in two very different stories that interlace with one another. Both directors had one day to shoot their film and another cross over day in which they shared the set. It was probably one of the most difficult ways of doing things but somehow it managed to work!
Below are photos of our two directors along with cast members Jason Alan Smith, Diva Zappa, Troy Garity and myself…

Only two days left on my project Do Not Disturb. Today we’re finishing off Jon Mann-Krieger’s Intrinsic and then moving on to Brandon Nicholas’ Death Takes a Holiday Inn. Yesterday was my first day acting on my very own project and despite not being able to sleep the night before and some butterflies in my stomach for the first take, it was such a blast!

Hey everybody! Yesterday Mali posted some quick info about the short Oceans Away, which is a part of the Do Not Disturb feature. It stars Eric Balfour, Lindsay Pulsipher, Diva Zappa and is directed by Petro Papahadjopoulos. In our last update we brought you some behind the scenes footage of the cast and crew on set and now we’ve got a couple of high quality stills from the film.
Check out the photos and a short message from Mali below…

We’ve officially wrapped day one of Do Not Disturb and Eric Balfour’s, Duccios Madonna has been made! Amazingly enough it all came together pretty damn well. Thanks to an amazing cast and crew, we managed to get all of our shoots by the skin of our teeth, with no major break downs or explosions.
Tomorrow we’ll be giving the studio over to our AD in order to allow him to make his own short film (and help us balance our budget).
I’ve been on a set for 13 hours with almost no sleep for I’m not sure how long, so I’ll just let the videos do the talking…

Today has been one of the longest days of my life but I can proudly say that IT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING. Despite the minor fires that erupted earlier, everyone is on track and ready to get moving on Do Not Disturb! We begin shooting tomorrow morning at 7am. I got to approve my first call sheet today
And yes I LOOK like I’m just laying around on the bed in the picture above but I was actually blocking a scene and talking on the phone to our Script Supervisor Maia at the same time (multi-tasking rocks!), so there!
Only 24 hours ago we were far from where we needed to be, mainly due to the lack of hands due to the lack of budget. Director Brandon Nicholas officially saved all of our asses…

Hey everyone! In case you haven’t read my first two posts about Do Not Disturb, I’m a simple little online journalist who nearly 2 months ago now decided to make a film herself. I know I haven’t been very good about keeping your updated, but this whole “producing a film” thing is rather time consuming!
The set officially went up today, two days early thanks to Ray and Kent over at New Master’s Studios and it looks AMAZING.
We will be painting this Saturday with a group of professionals and kind friends. I started moving in some of the props and set decorations today. Sadly all of our set decoration fell through last night due to a “misunderstanding” with shipping (ah!) so I spent the entire day today running around with one of our director’s Brandon Nicholas to find new furniture that would do the part. We have everything from a headboard and a coffee table, so wish us luck for tomorrow!
Check out photos of our set below…

Had a production meeting with all our DPs, Directors, Producers, Sound and AD this weekend. With a production like ours it makes for a full room. Overall, this had been an amazing project. You always hear that movies are made in post, well I’m here to tell you if you don’t have all your shit together in pre-production, your production and post will all be screwed. Given our time restraints, everyone is working around the clock. My goal was to hire a crew with the same drive as myself and somehow I managed to do it. We have a great group of people with an amazing “can do” attitude. It’s amazing that when you have no money, people seem to be doing things for the right reasons.
Our crew that I can announce now are…
