Two photos have popped up online from M. Night Shyamalan‘s live action adaptation of The Last Airbender. The film has caught a lot of slack from die hard fans surrounding it’s “suspect” casting, but these first images aren’t that bad. They feature Dev Patel as Zuko (above), the “fire bender” and Noah Ringer as Aang a 12 year old who can manipulate the weather. Frank Marshall, producer of the upcoming The Last Airbender masterpiece, just confirmed that trailer for the film will be attached to Transformers: Rise of the Fallen. He found this fact so important that he Twittered it.
The movie is based off the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender, and is expected to produce two sequels. Directing this flick is none other than M. Night Shyamalan (why do people keep paying him?), which means that it’s going to have a crazy twist at the end. Well, at least we know now that on June 24th (when Transformers 2 is released) we’ll be able to see what he’s come up with.
