The cast of the Fast and Furious movies has become such that now each new film adds more players to the roster, along with past cast members who may or may not have been killed off in previous adventures. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Dwayne Johnson are due back, but what about the new players, and some of the people hinted at returning at the end of Fast Five?
Tarsem Singh‘s latest The Immortals (Due November 11) follows in the footprints of Clash of the Titans by using the Greek Gods and semi-Gods as its protagonists. And with the posters listing only the producers of 300, they’re also trying to connect with that gigantic hit. For WonderCon, five character posters have been released, featuring future-Superman Henry Cavill as Theseus, Luke Evans as Zeus, Isabel Lucas as Athena, Kellan Lutz as Poseidon and Daniel Sharman as Aries. We’ve known for a while that Universal is planning a prequel/spin-off to their highly successful Jason Bourne franchise, but they’ve yet to find an actor to play the lead. According to several sources, director and screenwriter Tony Gilroy has cast a very wide net on potential candidates for the primary role in The Bourne Legacy. A couple new images have been released for Paul WS Anderson’s upcoming 3D adaptation of The Three Musketeers. First Bill Condon gave us a peek into the world of The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn and now Summit Entertainment has released a photo from one of their other novel adaptations: The Three Musketeers. It’s director Paul W.S. Anderson’s take on the classic French tale, which features three fighters, a teenage runaway, and a beautiful woman. We have some good and bad news to report regarding the upcoming Edgar Allen Poe adaptation, The Raven. The film has lost a star in Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner, but has gained two in his place. According to THR, British thespians Luke Evans (he’s been in everything lately) and Alice Eve are in talks to join the cast led by John Cusack.
Over the past few months we’ve been hearing about Paul WS Anderson’s 3D version of the classic, The Three Musketeers. According to THR, casting is underway and an Oscar winner and a slew of familiar faces have signed on for the film. Expect to see Christoph Waltz, Milla Jovovich, Mads Mikkelsen, Ray Stevenson, Matthew Macfadyen, Luke Evans, and Logan Lerman all in Anderson’s epic adaptation.
There a lot of upcoming films that will tackle the subject of Greek mythology but none as anticipated as Tarsem Singh’s War of the Gods. It’s currently in production and Relativity Media sent out a press release letting everyone know that they’ve made a few major changes. War of Gods will now be called Immortals and two actors have joined the growing cast including Oscar nominee John Hurt and Transformers star Isabel Lucas.
