Not a whole to crow about on DVD this week. In fact, there’s only three new releases (not counting the de facto Straight-to-DVD travesties) of any real note landing on shelves this week. And two of those are movies that you don’t remember existed (or at least that Robert De Niro starred in one of them). What a shame!

Luckily, the third DVD is probably the most exciting DVD release (for me) that I can remember. A TV series so beloved that I had to make it my Twitter Avatar. What is it?

Yes, $19 million is a modest amount when we’re speaking Box Office terms, but this weekend $19 million was enough to make Bradley Cooper‘s Limitless No. 1. The Hangover star beat out Matthew McConaughey‘s The Lincoln Lawyer and Battle: Los Angeles (the war film didn’t do as well as we had predicted).

Also new this weekend was Universal’s Paul, which stars plenty of hilarious people like Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Seth Rogen, Jason Bateman, and Kristen Wiig (the list goes on). Despite falling at No. 5, the sci-fi comedy was neck and neck all weekend long with The Lincoln Lawyer and just barely lost out by a couple of thousand.

No, this isn’t his lost audition tape or Love and Other Drugs, he wants to sell us a little, clear pill called NZT. According to THR, the younger actor was originally set to star in the thriller Dark Fields, but has since dropped out. That left the lead role open for The Hangover star to takeover but it begs the question, what type of character can transform from a 23 year old to a 34 year old with the stroke of a pen?
