When last we talked about Quentin Tarantino‘s latest Django Unchained, Jamie Foxx was the odds-on frontrunner for the lead character. That is now locked up. CNN talked to Foxx recently, and he said the dull platitudes expected of someone up for a big role. “Amazing” Foxx says. It “should be amazing.” Well, duh. The money quote is that he seems to suggest that Leonardo DiCaprio is also a lock the project. “I think, just to be able to work with Quentin Tarantino and Samuel Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and to be able to tell a story that needs to be told…”

On November 14, Leonardo DiCaprio and frequent collaborator Martin Scorsese took part in a Q&A presentation entitled, “Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese in Conversation.” The event was held at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California and was an hour long info-fest for members of the press and the American Cinematheque. While discussing their working relationship, DiCaprio revealed whether or not he would be interested in doing a musical, more specifically Scorsese’s Frank Sinatra film. A couple weeks ago we reported that I’m Still Here star Joaquin Phoenix was slated to join Leonardo DiCaprio in the Clint Eastwood biopic, Hoover. The actor was rumored to play his right hand man and lover in the film. Could you imagine Leo and Joaquin going at it? It’s an interesting concept (and visual) but it’s not happening.
