Leonardo DiCaprio is at it again. The Academy Award nominated actor has another high end drama waiting for him in the wings. Last weekend, he confirmed that he would begin shooting Clint Eastwood’s biopic Hoover early next year, and today Variety is reporting that he’ll also star as the lead in the adaptation of the book, Legacy of Secrecy.

On November 14, Leonardo DiCaprio and frequent collaborator Martin Scorsese took part in a Q&A presentation entitled, “Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese in Conversation.” The event was held at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California and was an hour long info-fest for members of the press and the American Cinematheque. While discussing their working relationship, DiCaprio revealed whether or not he would be interested in doing a musical, more specifically Scorsese’s Frank Sinatra film. And he also spoke about when production will begin on Clint Eastwood’s upcoming J. Edgar Hoover biopic. Here’s what he had to say…

A couple weeks ago we reported that I’m Still Here star Joaquin Phoenix was slated to join Leonardo DiCaprio in the Clint Eastwood biopic, Hoover. The actor was rumored to play his right hand man and lover in the film. Could you imagine Leo and Joaquin going at it? It’s an interesting concept (and visual) but it’s not happening. Eastwood has confirmed that the actor has not been cast in the movie.

Not too long ago DiCaprio sat down to a press conference to talk about his recent turn to dark, confused (and confusing) characters, why he picks his films by director, the challenges he faced emotionally and physically for his role as Cobb in Nolan’s film, and his possible upcoming role at J.
