Perhaps you will recall that, last week, we offered you a glimpse of Len Wiseman’s Total Recall remake via the teaser for the trailer (and that’s a marketing gimmick that hasn’t gotten old yet, not at all). Now, you can check out the full trailer for this most unnecessary of remakes—it starts off as fairly intriguing, and then around the one-minute mark devolves into what looks like a video game rehash of Minority Report, Inception, and the original Recall. One of the most odious modern marketing trends in the world of entertainment –besides these—has been the relatively new phenomenon of the trailer for the trailer: basically, we’re receiving an advertisement letting us know that an even longer and more detailed advertisement will be coming our way soon. Last week, we had to stomach the trailer for the trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, and this week, it’s the teaser for the trailer for Len Wiseman’s Total Recall remake.

Well, fans of remakes of really, really odd 1980s Arnold Schwarzenegger films, along with fans of really, really pretty people, have something to celebrate this morning–/Film reports that, in addition to Colin Farrell playing hero Douglas Quaid and Bryan Cranston playing the bad guy, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel have both just been announced as recent add-ons to the cast of the Total Recall remake. In addition, Bill Nighy will round out the cast as resistance leader Quatto.

When you’re on one of the most respected shows on Television, the motion pictures come calling, and Bryan Cranston has been able to turn his work on “Breaking Bad” into a great audition reel. He’s currently in negotiations to play the bad guy in Len Wiseman‘s Total Recall remake against Colin Farrell, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Currently there is no start date, but if this comes to pass, it would likely be shortly after Cranston wraps on the fourth season of “Breaking Bad,” which is currently shooting.

Usually when there’s a movie being remade or “adapted” that we don’t hear about for a while, we hold out hope that it’s no longer happening. Total Recall was one of those films but unfortunately it’s still going strong and it’s even landed a director. According to THR, Len Wiseman is in talks to helm the sci-fi flick which is based on the Philip K. Dick story, “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale.”

Len Wiseman, the genius behind the vampire-werewolf film series Underworld has decided to attack viewers from a new vantage point. According to THR, the producer-director will be taking on the apocalyptic story entitled, Nocturne that Jeremy Passmore and Andre Fabrizzio recently pitched to Fox.
