Lea Michele Reviews, Interviews & More
As per usual, Glee's season finale closed with a competitive spirit. In "All Or Nothing," the New Directions headed to Regionals, taking along a bunch of drama. The writers tried to tie up some loose ends, but ultimately left us with more questions than answers.
Rachel Berry has come a long way since Glee's first season. Back then, she was a show choir nerd who wore too many questionable sweaters. Though her wardrobe has changed and she's more confident, deep down, Rachel's still a gleek who worships Barbra Streisand. In "Sweet Dreams," she fulfills a life long dream when Broadway's Funny Girl holds...
Several of Glee's characters are suffering from a broken heart. According to Mr. Schue, the best remedy for that kind of pain is... cinema! In last night's episode, the New Directions were told to perform songs from their favorite movies. "Girls (and Boys) On Film" featured a bunch of nods from the past, and a jazzy Tom Cruise tribute.
Last night, Glee proved that romance is dead or at least on this show. "I Do" might've been the most sexually-charged episode of the entire series. There were all types of hookups between old and new lovers, strangers and girlfriends. At some point, we thought we were watching Gossip Girl.
There was a lot attitude on last night's Glee, and rightfully so. "Diva" was full of confrontations, elaborate costumes and sassy fingers. Kurt, who just can't escape the haters/bullies, got into a "catfight" with Rachel. And the McKinley kids battled each other in another diva-off. This time, the underdog won.
Much of Glee's fourth season has been a series of unfortunate events. Every couple has broken up (in one way or another), and even after McKinley, Rachel continues to struggle with her self-esteem. There's also the whole eating disorder issue, which reached new heights during last week's episode when Marley fainted onstage. In "Swan Song," the show took a turn for the...
Glee's "Thanksgiving" episode arrived a little late this year, but what the heck! Thanks to the holiday, a bevy of New Directions alumni returned to Lima, including Quinn, who we hadn't seen since last season. With Mr. Schue gone and Sectionals on the horizon, Finn invites the graduates to mentor the new members of the club.
When it was first announced that Glee's McKinley High would do a rendition of Grease, red flags were raised. Their last production was good, but only because Rachel and Kurt were still around. The current state of the glee club is vastly different. Marley has sort of become the new Rachel, but she hadn't made an impact until now. The new...
Last night's Glee was a hurricane of sadness and tears. It should've been a joyous occasion since Finchel, Klaine and Brittana all reunited, but instead, it was serious conversations that led to awkward musical numbers. It wasn't all bad though. That new mean girl Kitty (Becca Tobin) made a hilarious prank about The Rapture. It was honestly the best...
Last night, Glee got a makeover. It transformed into The Carrie Bradshaw Show, with Sarah Jessica Parker guest starring as Vogue editor Isabelle Wright (Sex and the City fans rejoice). Back in Lima, Brittany and Blaine suited up and held a ridiculous presidential debate. And Mr. Schuester finally realized...
Last night, Glee put on another Britney Spears inspired episode. The tone of "Britney 2.0" was completely different than "Britney/Brittany," and focused on the singer's personal life more than her actual music. Unlike the original, this episode was not what everyone was waiting for. Come to think about it,...
Glee's got new schools and fresh faces but the same old problems. Rachel's in New York being criticized by her once-fabulous dance teacher Cassandra July (Kate Hudson). While Kurt is stuck in Lima, Ohio suffering from the post-high school blues. McKinley's New Directions are also suffering -- from popularitis. It's a rare disease in which geeks get popular,...
This week is deemed Alcohol Awareness Week by Principal Figgins on “Glee.” The glee club members indulge in a house party while Mr. Shuester and Coach Beiste have some fun of their own. Will the glee club be able to demonstrate the dangers of underage drinking effectively? Find out in our review…
Rachel plans to make a comeback this week on “Glee” with the help of Brittany. She pays Brittany to dress like her in an attempt to make Rachel's style popular. Meanwhile, Sam starts a one-man band, called The Justin Bieber Experience, to impress Quinn. Will Rachel become popular? Will Sam's Justin Bieber tribute win Quinn's heart? Find out in our review…
Love is in the air as this week's “Glee” celebrates Valentine's Day early by setting up a kissing booth to raise funds for the club, creating relationship drama (as usual), and of course, performing some classic songs that are "Valentines-y." So Who fell in love and who fell apart? Find out in our review…
The "Glee Super Bowl" episode -- It just sounds wrong, doesn't it? Of all the shows in its repertoire, FOX made the bold, ironic choice to air "Glee" after the biggest, testosterone-fueled sporting event of the year. And THANK GOD, because I was just bored enough by time "The Sue Sylvester Shuffle" came on to think it was any good... at first.
We thought Super Bowl Sunday was all about football and you know, the Super Bowl? The coveted date sports fans wait all year for is slowly but surely turning into a night of glee, not the emotion, the TV show "Glee!" Yesterday we posted some photos from the post-game episode of the series, which will feature lots of football, and an awesome mash-up of Michael Jackson's...
GLEE SEASON 2: Last year's "Sectionals" was one of the best of Glee's first season; there were great Will and Emma moments, one of Lea Michele's single most exhilarating performances, and a fantastic, closing Kelly Clarkson cover. Did "Special Education," which also focused on the glee club's Sectionals competition live up to its predecessor?
The lack of developing story lines in "The Rocky Horror Glee Show" provided an open plot field for last night's episode entitled "Never Been Kissed," which found the New Directions crew pitted against each other in a 'guys versus girls' sing-off. This episode of "Glee" definitely offered up more drama and conflict than the last one- but at a cost.
Last night, "Glee" returned from its short break (okay, one week, but it felt like a long time) not just with a new episode, but with the show's highly anticipated take on cult horror classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Last night's episode has a lot of hype and expectations to live up to and only partly succeeded. After the sweet and simple "Duets" episode, this special tribute...
