Rob Marshall‘s musical Nine won’t hit theaters until Christmas Day, but you can still check out some of the tunes featured on the soundtrack. Most of the actors in the film have sung onscreen before, but co-star Kate Hudson will be making her recording debut with the song, “Cinema Italiano.”
Kate Hudson takes front and center in the latest trailer for Rob Marshall‘s upcoming musical, Nine. The film hits theaters this Christmas and features an Oscar winning cast led by the talented Daniel Day-Lewis. A really, really long trailer has been released for The Killer Inside Me, a drama we reported on a few months back that stars Casey Affleck, Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, Bill Pullman, and Elias Koteas. The cast sounds random, but the film is based on the popular Jim Thompson novel of the same name. The trailer is a little over 5 minutes long and gives away a lot of info regarding the overall plot, so if you’re not familiar with the story already tread carefully.
This week, our DVD shelf is filled with a variety of movies including Bride Wars, a drama starring UFC Fighters, and a horror movie you couldn’t tell apart from any other.
And those aren’t the worst of the DVD releases! There’s also a direct-to-disc movie starring Ron Jeremy!
Of course, there’s also some good stuff in there somewhere. Read on to find out what it is…
Here are some of the top stories you may have missed over the weekend…..
Ralph Fiennesis gearing up to make his directorial debut with Coriolanus. Fienneswill pull double duty as director and star of the film, which is based off of the Shakespearean play of the same name. Coriolanus is about a “proud but contemptuous soldier Coriolanus spurred on by his mother to run for the Roman Senate, which ultimately leads to his downfall.” [First Showing]
Kate Hudson, Ned Beatty, Casey Affleck, Jessica Alba, and Elias Koteas haved all signed on to star in the psychological thriller, The Killer Inside Me. The film is based off of the novel by Jim Thompson, and will be directed by Michael Winterbottom. [Screen Daily]

Well, the first thing you hear is Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, sounds interesting right? There must be something to this film that they’re not revealing in this trailer, because it doesn’t quite add up. Both of them are accomplished actresses, absolutely gorgeous, and this just doesn’t seem like something they would bother pairing up over. It seems like a fun romp, but eh…
What do you think of the trailer? Am I missing something?
