Over the past few weeks there has been so much confusion regarding the DC superhero film and the separate prison thriller with the same name. According to THR, the spec script for Supermax (no relation to the Green Arrow) has been picked up by Columbia Pictures.

What is happening to my favorite comic book franchises these days? Over the past few months there have been rumors that the DC Comics character Green Arrow would get his own live action adaptation.
There was word that his film would be entitled Supermax, and comic extraordinaire David S. Goyer was on board to produce. According to LatinoReview, the latest news regarding Supermax has nothing to do with Green Arrow or DC Comics at all.

The Warner Brothers DC comic book adaptations just keep rolling in. This time we’re looking at the DC franchise , Suicide Squad. I’m vaguely familiar with these guys, but I never really read any of their stuff. Nothing against them, I just have too many comics in my rotation. According to Variety, Dan Lin is going to be developing and co-producing the Suicide Squad’s first foray onto the big screen. Warner Brothers is looking to turn this into a potential franchise for the studio.
