In the words of Boyz II Men it’s so hard to say goodbye to last season. With the premiere of the Showtime series “Dexter” this week, the death of Julie Benz’s character Rita became crystal clear. But don’t feel too bad for her, the actress is still on television just not on cable. Benz stars as the matriarch of a super powered family on the new ABC series “No Ordinary Family.” She recently spoke about the show and the amount of love and affection she’s received from “Dexter” fans since her departure.

We’re well aware that in the world of television and movies anything goes. That means “dead” isn’t always dead (despite what “Lost” says) so the fact that Julie Benz will appear on the next season of “Dexter” isn’t that much of a shock. According to Zap2it, Showtime has confirmed that the actress who played the title character’s wife will rise again when the show returns with new episodes.

The film has been 10 years in the making and once again reunites all the major talent from the original including Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus, and writer-director Troy Duffy.
