Though Daniel Craig brought James Bond into the 21th Century with Casino Royale, it seems Skyfall has brought the franchise into the internet era – at least in terms of marketing. Though the trailer won’t debut until May 25 (where it will be attached to Men in Black III), we’ve seen a lot of behind the scenes glimpses at the film, and now there’s a new featurette highlighting the production design.

When is a Bond Girl not a “Bond Girl?” Naomie Harris and Bérénice Marlohe are joining Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem and Judi Dench in Skyfall, and both seem, superficially, like BGs. But are there rules? Do you have to – at the very least – make a pass at James Bond to join the club? Perhaps director Sam Mendes is the final arbiter, but it seems unlikely that Dench is a “Bond Girl.” Harris and Marlohe have posted video blogs about the shoot, and Bond Girls, and you can check them out after the jump.

Though it’s happening slowly, new media is steadily trickling down from the production of Skyfall, the 23rd film in the James Bond franchise (and the third film in the Daniel Craig continuity). So far, we’ve seen a pic of Bond sitting by a pool and getting his legs wet (not the most action-packed of scenarios), followed by a shot of a heavily-scruffed Daniel Craig holding a gun in a dark room. Now, not only do we have a new picture of director Sam Mendes and Skyfall co-star Judi Dench on the set (above), we’ve got a new video blog from Mendes to pick apart.

Yep, that’s Daniel Craig, and Empire is reporting that this is the first official picture of James Bond in Skyfall, the 23rd film in the franchise. The film is due out November 9 later this year, and shooting is underway, so there’s plenty of time to speculate what madness Bond gets into in this adventure. The film is being directed by Sam Mendes and also stars Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Albert Finney, Naomie Harris, and Javier Bardem.

Marilyn Monroe is back in theaters again, this time played by the lovely and brave Michelle Williams, who much like Monroe always seems to be up for pushing herself and taking on a challenge. My Week with Marilyn is not your typical Monroe bio-film, though they throw in a few homages to her iconic dance numbers and songs, this film is really about pulling back the curtain and getting to know what really made Monroe an icon. It wasn’t her curves, it was that mysterious something else that gave her that edge, that sent directors mad, but ultimately made her one of the biggest stars, ever…

Clint Eastwood has been working so hard and so much, it’s easy to be bowled over that an 81-year-old has churned out nearly a film a year for over two decades (generally if he takes a year off it’s because he directed two the year previous). For his latest he’s assembled Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Watts, and Armie Hammer for a portrait of one of the most important and powerful men of the 20th Century: J. Edgar Hoover, who developed the Federal Bureau of Investigations into the complicated and powerful organization it is now. But J. Edgar is sadly undercooked, with all the juicy tales of Hoover and none congealing.

Leonardo DiCaprio. Clint Eastwood. J. Edgar. Is it Oscar time already? That’s the vibe coming off of Eastwood’s latest, which just had its trailer release. It fits a lot of bio-pic formulas, with Judi Dench playing his mother, and Armie Hammer playing his possible lover. Once revered as a feared lawman, now seen as corrupt as some of the people he went after, J. Edgar Hoover’s life is juicy subject matter, but it’s unknown how it’s been cooked. Check out the trailer…

After a long, long wait, spy film fans can finally rest easy—the as-yet untitled 23rd James Bond film is set to launch production later this year, according to Coming Soon. As you may remember, the Daniel Craig incarnation of the franchise was in hot water when MGM went bankrupt last year, but, according Judi Dench (who has played Bond boss M in the series since the 1990s), Bond is back on!

Director Cary Fukunaga attempts to punch up the romantic, period piece genre with his latest film Jane Eyre. The drama is made with a bit of horror, not something you normally would equate with a Charlotte Brontë 19th century novel, but it definitely makes the film appealing to not only the romantic film-goers but to those looking for something more. Find out what gives Jane Eyre that air of sophistication and youth in our review below…
