In a very sweet note for the end fo 2011, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel have decided to commemorate the end of the year by singing “What Are You Doing New Years Eve?” The duo did a song and dance number together in 500 Days of Summer, and must have got on well enough to want to work together again, by hook or crook. This song seems like a good chance to have a little fun. Check it out…

Variety is reporting that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is “in talks” for Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained. Though casting can go into a film’s shooting schedule, the film is set for a January start date, and “in talks” usually means that it’s going to happen. There may be some nasty scheduling conflicts, but those can often be worked out.

Here’s the problem with this 50/50, the marketing sets it up for failure. They’re so busy trying to get people into the theaters by making them think that it’s a comedy, that they’re setting up the wrong expectations and therefore forcing the film to be unable to achieve its goal — telling a true to life story. There are some laughs, some love, some beautiful moments, some sadness, fear, all the things that go into real human life, which is what makes it so great. So avoid the ads and go into this film knowing you’re getting a solid drama with a few chuckles…

One of the most popular actors working today in both big blockbusters and small indies is Joseph Gordon-Levitt who while promoting his latest indie Hesher spoke to us about creating this interesting, edgy, and if you ask me, f*cked up Jesus-like character for the film. Even though Levitt is extremely sought after right now, director Spencer Susser was not convinced that he was right for the role, so Levitt had to once again proved himself worthy of the role and win over his director in an audition. Find out the story from Levitt’s perspective below…

This will actually be my second review of Hesher, and I’m back, because with some good edits, a sound remix and some well places music this movie has officially reached the potential that I saw in it back so Sundance 2010 (read first review review). Prepare for the awesome, well acted, original film that is Hesher. Now let’s see where I went wrong before…

Director Spencer Susser is ready to rock your world, with one of the most bad-ass, hardcore films of the year, Hesher starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Devin Brochu, Rainn Wilson, Piper Laurie and actress/producer Natalie Portman. The film was bought out at Sundance in 2010 by Newmarket and has taken its sweet time working its way into theaters, maybe it’s because of Natalie Portman’s recent popularity/winning streak but for some reason it’s finally found it’s way in and I for one say fuck yeah. Check out the trailer below…

There are few films that create as much excitement as Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises. The Dark Knight was a phenomenon, and is currently the third highest grossing film of all time, so why not be hyped that Nolan’s ready to finish his trilogy? Gary Oldman says the story is great, Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy are confirmed to be in the film and now Variety informs us that it’s a lock that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will reunite with his Inception director. New to the table is Juno Temple, who is rumored for the role of a “street-smart Gotham girl.”
