If you were born and raised in Detroit, RoboCop isn’t just a movie, it’s a piece of history. Granted it’s a piece of Hollywood-produced history, but the film is set in the city and the backdrop plays an important role in the story. Therefore whenever anyone talks about developments with the reboot my ears perk up! We thought the movie was dead in the water after MGM started having financial problems and Darren Aronofsky jumped ship, but apparently the tide has changed.
