Next year, we’ll see a couple of new comic based films, and one of them will be Warner Bros’ Jonah Hex. The movie is scheduled for release on June 18th, but has recently hit a snag. Over at SpoilerTV they’ve discovered a new casting call that suggests the crew will be going back into production for reshoots.
An official photo has been released for the DC Comics based film, Jonah Hex. It stars Josh Brolin as the title character who’s a gunslinger in the Old West. The film’s directed by Jimmy Hayward and will also feature Megan Fox and Michael Fassbender. Over at Omelete they’ve posted the new image that gives us a nice silhouette of Mr. Hex.

Although I could have talked to Michael Fassbender all day about his amazing performance in Inglourious Basterds, the subject of his upcoming film Jonah Hex of course came up in our round-table discussion. At Comic-Con, while everyone was asking Josh Brolin about his character, Brolin made sure to mention that Fassbender will surely be the scene-stealer of the film. We may not know him very well yet, but after Basterds, Hex, and his upcoming roles in Centurion, Birdsong, and possibly The Sweeney, we’re about to get to know him very well and if Broline has anything to say about it, we’ll all be blown away.

Yesterday, we got a chance to speak with Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, Jimmy Hayward, and Michael Fassbender for their upcoming film Jonah Hex at Comic-Con. Brolin was packing a dark, brooding, and dry humor, but was fully supporting his new film and fellow cast members. Megan Fox was far more well behaved than in the Transformers press conference a little while ago, although she still wouldn’t stop pouting her lips.

At the panel presentation for Warner Bros the main cast for the comic adaptation of DC’s Jonah Hex appeared on stage to introduce the first official trailer for the film. The Comic-Con audience made it very clear that they were all interested in seeing more of Megan Fox as a prostitute, than Josh Brolin as a gun-slinging, anti-hero. The trailer was everything I imagined it would be and more.

12:43: Did you pull from the books for the movie?: “The setting is from the books, but the actual narrative is unique to the movie. Lionel came up with it to sell it to the studios. The idea comes from the books and there is stuff he referred to in the books.”
12:40: What did you find the most challenging about your roles?: Downey: “This is how sick I am, I don’t think anything can be too challenging. I have an illness of too much confidence. The challenging thing was the controlled chaos of the set. It was British so it was a very civilized chaos.”
Although they’ve been keeping Josh Brolin’s Jonah Hex look under wraps (more so than Megan Fox’s prostitute look) for the upcoming film, we’ve just got our hands on six new photos of Brolin in full make-up and wardrobe and there is no other way to describe it, he looks bad-ass. It’s not every leading man that can pull off massive facial scares and still have charisma.

Finally, something more about Jonah Hex than simply Megan Fox pictures. Who am I kidding, more Megan Fox pictures would be great! But this story is on the film’s star, Josh Brolin. ComingSoon.net visited the set in New Orleans today, and talked to Brolin about his upcoming project.
After finishing Jonah Hex, Brolin will head to England to star in Woody Allen’s next film. Another one of Brolin’s project involve him serving as producer, possibly, for a biopic film from a script by Mark Gordon about John Brown, the American abolitionist who killed five Southern slave-owners before the Civil War.
Guess what! Megan Fox is in another movie wearing very little clothing! Yes, I know you’re surprised! Especially that the first photo released from Warner Brothers’ Jonah Hex wasn’t of Josh Brolin, John Malkovich or Michael Shannon, but of Fox.
Well, you shouldn’t be surprised, oh gullible Fox fans. We all know that we can watch Brolin and the rest of the game act when the movie comes out, when it comes to still frames, Fox strutting her stuff will always win.
