I was somewhat happy after watching the Iron Man 2 behind the scenes footage we posted, but unfortunately I’ve been knocked down a peg. Over at MTV Jon Favreau finally responded to the question we’ve all been dying to hear the answer to. Will he or won’t he direct The Avengers movie? According to him, we’re going to have to go with a “no” on that one.
A new behind the scenes video of Jon Favreau and crew has popped up online highlighting the upcoming sequel, Iron Man 2. Previously we brought you some footage from Entertainment Tonight’s set visit, and now we’ve got another look thanks to the people over at CanalPlus.fr. They posted a video featuring Favreau, and Tony Stark himself Robert Downey Jr. talking about the many upgrades that have been made for the movie.

This week the Bora Bora comedy, Couples Retreat with Jon Favreau, Vince Vaughn, Malin Akerman, Kristin Davis, Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Faizon Love and Kali Hawk hits theaters. With so many comedians all jam packed into one film, I’m sure you’re all looking forward to seeing your favorite actor strut their stuff in a laugh out loud comedy. Sadly, it’s not that movie. This is definitely a film that was more fun to shoot than it was to watch.

Finally, some real behind the scenes Iron Man 2 footage. Last night, Entertainment Tonight released a five minute long video that features an exclusive set visit. We get an inside look from stars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Scarlett Johansson of what we can expect to see in the anticipated sequel. The day the visit was taped, they were filming the race track scene where Tony Stark has his first meeting with Whiplash aka Micky Rourke.

According to THR, the actor and director will both be a part of the upcoming sci-fi western, Cowboys & Aliens. Favreau is an actor, writer, and producer so what position will his play in this film?
A new photo has been released from Jan Favreau’s sequel to to last year’s box office hit, Iron Man. We’ve seen several photos of Robert Downey, Jr. on set and in character and now it’s Sam Rockwell’s time to shine. The actor stars as Justin Hammer, a weapons dealer, designer, and potential bad guy. Iron Man 2 footage has been “leaked.” While at Comic-Con, director Jon Favreau premiered the first video of the upcoming Marvel sequel. Someone, somewhere put up the clip, and it’s not of the highest quality. I’m sure a lot of you are anxious to see it, but it doesn’t do the film justice at all. Watching a bootlegged copy of the trailer is not best way to be introduced to the awesomeness that is Iron Man 2. We understand why you want to see it, but it really is worth the wait.
It seems like everybody is hopping on the train of 3-D rendering. MTV recently caught up with Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau and the topic of 3-D filmmaking came into play. As we all know both Peter Jackson and James Cameron have embraced this trend whole heartily as the wave of the future, but how does Mr. Favreau feel about it?
