Last night the television networks went crazy when over 100 channels premiered a five minute clip from the Roland Emmerich film, 2012. The footage will look eerily familiar to those of you who attended the movie’s panel at this year’s Comic-Con. It’s pretty much the same footage, but they edited out a swear word or two for general audience purposes. The language may be different, but the onslaught of destruction stays the same.
Take a look at the extended clip from 2012…

The Roland Emmerich disaster flick, 2012 won’t hit theaters for another two months, but we’ve got just the thing to tide you over. On the UK website Heyuguys, they’ve posted a batch of photos from the movie that features nothing but fear and destruction. Those are the two things that every good Roland Emmerich film needs and without them we have nothing. Good thing there’s plenty of that to go around in this apocalyptic CGI-fest.

A new clip has been released from the upcoming Roland Emmerich film, 2012. The following footage isn’t as peaceful and serene as the theatrical poster we showed you yesterday, but it does give us a glimpse of John Cusack in action. The film won’t hit theaters until November 13th, so this is the best we can do until another trailer is released to the public.
Hold on, you’re in for a bumpy ride…

***Update: You can check out an interview from Woody Harrelson Jesse Eisenberg, and Emma Stone promoting Zombieland, as well as director Roland Emmerich‘s views on his upcoming film 2012.
3:46: A fan asked Roland if the world did end in 2012, how would he want it to. He said that he hopes it doesn’t end. If we stopped having so many wars, we could start working on the planet.
3:43: A Spanish fan just asked Roland why he never destroyed Spain in any of his films. I think that was an attempt at humor but blah!
3:39: Roland wants to do a film adaptation of the sci-fi series, The Foundation from Isaac Asimov. He said he’s trying to get a script right now.
3:38: Holy Sh*t!!! For that to be 70 percent done it looked amazing!!! How much destruction can you put in one scene!!

Another film where we get to watch our world fall apart! SO COOL! OK, if you’re not aware about a lot of the superstitions behind 2012, to make a long story short, it’s supposed to be the year that our world ends and EVERYONE dies. This is mainly due to the Mayan calendar ending on December 21, 2012 (although they do say give or take a year). Maybe they ran out of ink, or maybe…. there is some truth to it. Either way Roland Emmerich decided to make a movie about it starring John Cusack, Amanda Peet, and Chiwetel Ejiofor which is due out July 10, 2009. That gives you plenty of time to prepare for the end of the world!
This trailer is awesome! One of the best I’ve seen for a while. Check it out below…
