The second episode of Mad Men’s fifth season aired last night, with Jon Hamm taking over as both director and lead actor. In a solid-to-occasionally-great episode, Season Five’s still-forming primary theme seems to be that of change—both the rampant social/political/cultural changes of the 1960s, and the inevitable changes (including death) brought on by aging—as Don is forced to be less than cool at a Rolling Stones concert while a now-obese Betty faces her own mortality. It seems like Nicolas Cage‘s celebrity lifestyle and personal problems with the IRS require him to act only in critically-thrashed, big-budget movies. Sure, every now and then he’ll pick a good project where 80s and 90s Nic Cage shines through; unfortunately, Seeking Justice isn’t one of those projects. But it’s not all bad. Helmed by director Roger Donaldson, Seeking Justice is the story of a tortured husband who avenges his wife’s rapist by hiring a clan of vigilantes. Donaldson, an action pro, distracts the audience with chase scenes and gun fights, and eventually delivers a somewhat entertaining action movie.

After a long and tedious wait, 20th Century Fox has released the trailer for their comic adaptation, X-Men: First Class. The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn, who was previously hired to helm X-Men: The Last Stand but had to back out for personal reasons.
