James Marsden Reviews, Interviews & More
Hooray! It's been announced that today is officially the first day of filming on the set of the highly anticipated Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) and the rest of the Channel 4 News team will be embarking on another adventure filled with laughs. So yeah, we want set pictures now.
Any excuse to get Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly together in a movie, even if just for a few minuets, is a good one. That being said, the two are going to share some screen time again. No, it won't be in Step Brothers 2 but Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Yes, it is a happy day indeed.
Like them or not, it's been confirmed that a large chunk of the main actors from the first X-Men trilogy will be reprising their roles in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Who's the latest to be locked into the time traveling sequel? It's not that hard to guess if you skim down the list of who has yet to sign on.
2012 Sundance Film Festival favorite (check out our glowing review) and co-winner of the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize, Robot & Frank won big with film fest audiences earlier this year. The near-future story of a retired cat burglar, his robot caretaker, and their developing friendship and (mis)adventures, the winning film now has a full trailer. Check it out below.
Sometimes regression is progression, especially on 30 Rock. While Jenna has moved on from Paul and Liz has moved on from the idea of being a foster mom, both spent last night’s episode wondering if they’d really made the right choice. Meanwhile Jack’s attempt to broaden Kabletown’s horizons threatens to blow up in his face after his cottage industry turns out more torture...
Yet another one of my Top 5 Film Picks coming through. This film was exactly what I was hoping for: witty, funny, meaningful, enlightened and brilliantly acted by Frank Langella. The film takes a high concept premise and a character driven plot and turns it into a wonderfully executed experience.
This week Hop springs into theaters. Directed by Alvin and the Chipmunks' Tim Hill, and starring James Marsden and the voice of Russell Brand, this kids film tries to play both to adults and children alike. It's also a film that tries to create a mythology for Easter - not one based on the resurrection of Christ but one that gives something...
This week in theaters James Marsden stars in Hop, the story of how a man became an Easter Bunny. James Marsden stars as the would-be bunny, who becomes friends with E.B. (voiced by Russell Brand), who is supposed to become the new Easter Bunny, but wants to be a drummer instead. Marsden has had a number of careers, as a TV star, as Cyclops in the hit franchise...
Though he was recently in discussions and considered the front runner, according to The Hollywood Reporter it's now official: Will Sasso has now landed the part of Curly in The Farrelly Brothers Three Stooges film for Twentieth Century Fox. Now it's rumored that Hank Azaria and James Marsden will fill out the lead...
HOP TRAILER - Easter's on the way and with it comes the tale of a fluffy little bunny trying to follow his dream -- to become a drummer. Hop mixes a number of different ideas and styles - there are number of adult ideas (including some different types of Hollywood bunnies) with a sweet, kiddy story and a mixture of art animation with live action....
Two actors with sparkling eyes and killer smiles are teaming up for a new film called Loft. According to Variety, James Marsden and Patrick Wilson have signed on to star in the thriller together. Brace yourself, it's a remake, but a remake of Belgian film from 2008, so it's hacky but not too hacky (if that makes sense).
A new trailer has been released for the upcoming animated/live action feature Hop. The film is produced by Universal, and comes from the same people who brought us Despicable Me. The lead character is a CGI Easter Bunny who's voiced by Russell Brand, and he links up with an unsuspecting James Marsden in Hollywood to meet his idol -- David...
Based on the classic short story, “Button, Button” by Richard Matheson, writer/director Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko) brings us The Box, which asks the question, what would you be willing to sacrifice for a million dollars? Between this and The Fourth Kind, this weekend’s box office should empty the pockets of sci-fi fans nation wide.
Check out the review below…
Over at Empire they've premiered the international teaser poster for Richard Kelly's upcoming thriller, The Box. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on November 9th in the U.S., and December 4th in the U.K. The Box stars Cameron Diaz, James Marsden, and Oscar nominee Frank Langella as the man without a face. Just kidding, that's not his character's name,...
I recently sat down with the stars of Richard Kelly's upcoming thriller, The Box. Cameron Diaz and James Marsden made the trip down to San Diego's Comic-Con to give the fans and the press some info about their latest film. I learned a lot about their characters, the story, but most importantly I tried to get some dirt...
Are you ready for THE BOX! It might not sound scary at first, but don't worry, it is. From Richard Kelly, the writer and director of Donnie Darko, comes another eerie film about a couple put in an extraordinary circumstance. The film stars Cameron Diaz and James Marsden as a normal suburban husband and wife who get a...
I'm sure we'd all like to know upfront who's going to be present at this year's San Diego Comic Con, but unfortunately it doesn't happen that way. Usually details roll out little by little months before the annual event takes place. So far the biggest news came from the announcement a while back that New Moon would have a panel, and now over at...
It's time for another pointless remake. I've stumbled across an article on RopeofSilicon that confirms a remake of the 1971 feature Straw Dogs. It will be written and directed by Rod Lurie, who will revamp the Sam Peckinpah original. Speculation surrounding the movie has been vague due to the lack of production info provided by the studio. The film is set up at...
For all you teenagers who were worried that you wouldn't get your virgin sex comedy this year, relax.Complete with a badass muscle car, raunchy humor, blatant boob shots, and relevant Internet references, SexDrive has arrived just in time.
The plot of this (slightly stylized) homage to 80's teen films is at the same time, both unimportant and equally summed up in the title. After a...
