Ryan Dunn, star of the Jackass television show and movie series, died last night when he and a passenger got into a car accident. There have been reports that Dunn may have not been sober at the time, but that is yet unknown. Dunn achieved stardom as a friend of Bam Margera’s who proved himself willing to subject himself to all sorts of torturous activities for the cameras. That then led to being part of the cast of Jackass.
Because you can only direct films about guys getting hit in the balls for so long, longtime Jackass director Jeff Tremaine is set to direct Revenge of the Jocks from Warner Bros.
Doesn’t it seem like Jackass 3D came out just yesterday? The film debuted last fall with a whopping $50 million its opening weekend, and it went on to gross over $177 million worldwide. That’s quite a feat considering it only cost $20 million to make. When you take the financial success into consideration and pair it with the vast amount of leftover footage from the film, you realize that another movie wouldn’t be too far behind. In October Jackass 3D hit theaters with a punch! The third installment of the film series earned $50 million during its opening weekend surpassing the expectations of everyone. With numbers like that no one was surprised when talk of another sequel surfaced. Similar to their straight to DVD/online effort Jackass 2.5, they’ve already got Jackass 3.5 ready to go.
One cost $50 million and made $20 million, the other cost $20 million and made $50 million. No question on which one is the big winner here, the idiots willing to just about kill themselves in real life in Jackass 3-D. Apparently having big movie starts pretend to do it in a fictional way in RED just isn’t as much fun.

They put them to good use…in the worse possible way. Johnny Knoxville, once again leads the group as they perform ridiculous stunts that include animals, feces, flying dildos, and more feces.

After its premiere 10 years ago, the MTV trailer trash hit “Jackass” is still around to the surprise of everyone. The reason behind its success is its core cast which includes a group of skaters, snow boarders, and stunt men who love to make people laugh — by any means necessary. Last weekend we got the opportunity to sit down and talk with the guys from the crew while they were promoting their latest venture Jackass 3D. The group consisted of Steve-O, Ryan Dunn, Chris Ponitus, Jason “Wee Man” Acuna, Preston Lacy, Dave England, Ehren McGhehey, and director Jeff Tremaine.
