As kids, we all had fantasies of finding the right technology or chemical formula that would give us the same strength and power of our favorite comic book heroes. What if I told you it was out there? The folks over at Raytheon have made that dream come true for those who are fans of Marvel’s Iron Man. The hero is known for his tough body armor which multiplies his strength and allows him to take on high levels on impact. Co-star Clark Gregg recently visited the company to see what all the fuss is about and we’ve got the video below…

It’s summer in September this week as some of the bigger summer movies are making their home theater debut with the release of Get Him to the Greek and Iron Man 2. You can also enjoy a couple of smaller art house films and everybody’s favorite cuddly documentary when you pick up the DVD of Babies.
There’s also a smattering of TV on DVD (not the small screen onslaught we’ve experience the last few weeks) and one of the worst DVDs we’ve ever seen (wait until you see the title).
Read on to check them all out…

Don’t you hate it when trailers advertise footage that is nowhere in the actual film? It happens a lot, and last summer’s Iron Man 2 was no exception. Apparently, there was some footage taken from an alternate opening of the movie used in the trailer that never saw the light of day — until now. The scene has appeared online and features what would have been a hilarious re-introduction to Tony Stark and Pepper Potts had they gone with it. Check it out…

After seeing the heavy handed influence The Avengers had on this spring’s Iron Man 2 it looked like Tony Stark would be the anchor character to join all the new Marvel movies together. But director and producer Jon Favreau recently appeared on a local Los Angeles radio show to clear up any rumors regarding an Iron Man cameo in Captain America or Thor.

We thought we dodged a major bullet when Paramount and Marvel decided against releasing Iron Man 2 in 3D but we celebrated too soon. It turns out that the film was extremely close to being converted into the format but at the last minute the powers that be pulled the plug. According to a recent article in the LA Times, Marvel execs still have their eye on the 3D trend and plan on incorporating it into their future titles sooner than later.

Ever since Marvel began making live action films based on the Iron Man comic fans have been waiting for him to battle his arch nemesis on the big screen. We’re not talking about Iron Monger or Whiplash or Justin Hammer, we’re referring to The Mandarin. With two movies under his belt director Jon Favreau confirmed to MTV that he’s looking to bring the ten ringed villain to the forefront in the third installment, Iron Man 3.

Looks like Iron Man 2 may not have been able to shatter all the box office records in the world, but it did have one hell of a strong opening and shot past the debut of the first Iron Man, which kicked off with $98.6 million on the same weekend in 2008 – and it didn’t even need 3D to do so, booya! So far, it’s already the 4th highest grossing film of 2010 (and probably the best sans Inception action film of the summer), and if this film is anything like the last, it’s a grow-er not a show-er. The good word of mouth and millions of advertising should keep it in theaters and I would be willing to wager that by end of it’s run, it’s broken some top grossing record.

Over the past few weeks the film’s reviews have been rolling in and for the most part they’ve been mixed.
