Sometimes good things happen to good movie-lovers. Coming up at the Eqyptian is one of the best films of the year Inglourious Basterds along with its director Quentin Tarantino and three of his classic films Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol 1, and Vol 2. Tarantino will be making a live appearance at the theater and most likely answering some questions from you all.
The Egyptian will also be featuring one of the best and most underrated films of the year In the Loop, directed by Armando Iannucci and starring Anna Chlumsky, Chris Addison, David Rasche, Gina McKee, James Gandolfini, Mimi Kennedy, Olivia Poulet, Peter Capaldi, Steve Coogan, Tom Hollander and Zach Woods.

Ever since the release of Kill Bill Volume 2, director Quentin Tarantino has been dishing out ideas for the third installment of the series. The most common pitches he threw out had to do with the orphaned daughter of Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox) and her plan to exact revenge on The Bride for killing her mother. The Basterds smashed their way to number one this past weekend, sadly, not with the $50+ million they deserved, but number one none-the-less. It seems like a slow weekend for movie theaters, none of the numbers are that impressive. Robert Rodriguez‘s kid’s film Shorts, had a slow start, it only managed to come up with $6 million. Meanwhile, G.I Joe hasn’t dropped out of the top three, but it still didn’t make much.
