Inception DIY Trailer VOTD: Amazing Do It Yourself Inception Trailer With Kids!

Its been a few months since Inception hit theaters and we’ve seen several recreations of its trailer and now another one has caught our attention. MakerBakerVideo put together a DIY version of the video using kids, minimal effects (and we do mean minimal), and audio dubbing. How would Cobb look if he was played by a 9 year old instead of Leonardo DiCaprio? What if Ellen Page’s Ariadne was really a man in a bad wig? Find out below…

Box office wins can only tell you so much. You can only really when a movie’s “made it” with the fans when everyone makes fun of it! The Dark Knight is remembered for two things, Heath Ledger‘s amazing performance and Christian Bale’s “I’m yelling with laryngitis” voice. Now, Nolan fans have some new to play with, Inception! This time fans are going for a mixture of the general idea of “inception” and Leo‘s face. Oh the possibilities!

College Humor is known for producing parody videos of the most popular movies, shows, and stars of the time and what’s the biggest thing right now? Christopher Nolan’s Inception that’s what! The dream weaving, mind-bending thriller that stars Leonardo DiCaprio is coming off its third week at number 1, therefore it’s only right that the folks at College Humor pick it apart. If you haven’t already seen the film, please avert your eyes because not only will this spoil the movie but it will make you not want to see it. This is a dramatization in every sense of the word.

X-Men First Class Drops Inception-Like Scenes

Inception is coming off of its third consecutive week as number one at the box office. This could be because a) it’s a good movie, b) the competition this summer is extremely weak, or c) both. Either way, you can’t deny the amazing mind bending effects or the crazy storyline that goes with them. Since the majority of the general population has seen the movie, X-Men First Class director Matthew Vaughn got worried that audiences might view scenes from his upcoming film as cheap knock-offs of Christopher Nolan’s work.

Weekend Box Office: Inception’s Dreams Come True

It seems as if Inception is the film that just keeps on taking! In its third week it’s not only held its title as the number one film at the box office, domestically now earning more than its reported cost, but it’s also knocked down all its competition including Angelina Jolie and Steve Carrel for ticket sales. Something tells me Dinner for Schmucks may stick around for a bit — though The Other Guys might squeeze it out next week, but Salt is going to have a hard time sticking, especially with Inception still in theaters and Scott Pilgrim and The Expendables on the way. People can only buy so many over-priced tickets!

Meanwhile it seems the the box office successes just keep on producing, Inception is the newest, but Toy Story 3 and Eclipse continue to rake in big bucks. Check out the numbers below, it still seems to be a big or slow summer (poor Charlie St. Cloud) for big name movies…

What would happen if you took two of the best movies from this mediocre summer and combined them in the same trailer? Would the world explode from the large amount of awesomeness? No, but you could experience some pretty cool audio-visual swapping and you’d get to see Ken deliver dialogue like only Leonardo DiCaprio can. Are you ready for Inception-Toy Story 3? Here it is…

Inception Earns Another 10 Million on Monday

inception7 14 10 l Inception Earns Another 10 Million on Monday

Christopher Nolan’s Inception is no Dark Knight. We all knew that going in and we all knew it coming out. The film doesn’t have a built in comic book audience that spans 60 plus years, let alone countless TV shows and earlier movies that support its narrative. Instead, Nolan took a multi-layered idea, flushed out a story, threw in some of the hottest stars of the day, and created Inception. The film opened last weekend at number one with $62 million and according to the latest estimates it kicked off the new work week with another 10!

Weekend Box Office: Inception Is No. 1 But Breaks No Records

Inception Zero Gravity 15 7 10 kc Weekend Box Office: Inception Is No. 1 But Breaks No Records

Looks like Christopher Nolan‘s big summer release Inception, which by far tops all the other actions films you’ll see this summer (despite my complaints about it), has managed to come in at #1, but with a much lower number than Warner Brothers was probably hoping for with one of the top grossing directors EVER behind the camera. This proves once again that audiences care more about going to see a film they think they know (ie Batman) than something that sounds a bit confusing. Come on people! Sorry, I’m just pissed because I just lost a bet — I was sure it would open over $80 mill.

What’s worse than that is the summer Disney is having with their action films, first Prince of Persia and now The Sorcerer’s Apprentice — despite being solid action films for the PG generation they both have fallen extremely short of expectations, especially when you see their massive budgets. I predict – more animations in their future!

INCEPTION MOVIE REVIEW: It’s that time… time for all of you to go out and experience Inception. Some of you may have seen the film, others not, I have tried my best to keep any and all spoilers out of this review while still talking about the film as a whole. If you haven’t seen it, you should be fairly safe, if you have, there’s plenty for you to argue with me about as this is a rather massive review to reflect my enormous opinion about it.

Without anyone more pointless babble, lets get to it…
