After her directorial debut with Whip It in 2009, it was hard to tell if Drew Barrymore would continue to work behind the camera, or if the film was just a one-off. Some actors merely dabble. But Barrymore is returning to the director’s chair for How to Be Single, according to The Hollywood Reporter.The film is based on the book by Liz Tuccillo of the same name that follows an ensemble of players who go through relationship drama over the course of ten years. This looks to be a go project as the script is ready, which was written by Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn.

It looks as if we’re going to have a He’s Just Not That Into You sequel on our hands! Not really, but something similar to it. According to the NYtimes, director Garry Marshall’s romantic comedy Valentine’s Day is starting to get a surge in the casting department. Due to the success and popularity of the previous film, New Line Cinema wants to stick with a winning formula and get as many random actors they can to star in a similar project!

Well it looks like the women have decided this weekends box office top film. Never have I seen more hoards of men-less woman (aside from Sex and the City) filling in the theaters to see He’s Just Not That Into You. There are plenty of things for a guy to enjoy in this movie (Scarlett Johnspn with almost nothing on anyone?) but I don’t think they’re willing to risk it. They need to get one to go and the rest will follow. Coraline made it to number three this week, which is pretty damn good for a stop-frame animation. Hell it beat out all the other movies opening this weekend including The Pink Panther 2 and Push.
