Overall this is very much the film you think it's going to be; it's has plenty of funny jokes, moves right along, there's a lot great actors saying cheesy...

Interview: Helen Mirren For The Last Station

helen-mirren1-13-10
There are actresses and then there are actresses. If you ask me Helen Mirren is a role model, an inspiration, and one damn fine actress who has proved time and time again that she is one of the greatest performers currently working. This was a bit of a fan-girl interview for me because, well she's Helen Mirren and I'm an aspiring filmmaker/actress. She has had the career and worked on the type...

Helen Mirren Talks About Playing Prospera in The Tempest

Published by

helen mirren brighton rock
Although there seem to be very few roles for more seasoned actresses these days, many of the best parts seem to go to Damn Mirren... and for good reason. No one else of any age or gender seems to have her abilities and/or charisma on screen or stage. I had the privilege today of getting to sit down and speak with Helen Mirren about her phenomenal performance in Michael Hoffman's latest film,...

Something tells me that someone got confused along they way. Check out what he told RT at the premiere...

State of Play Review

Published by

stateofplay09-4-16
State of Play, has everything it takes to make it a great film. It has an amazing cast, cutting edge issues in politics and business, and although it's a fun ride, it failed to out-do it's source material. If you haven't seen the TV show, this is a good solid escapist movie. If you have seen the TV show, you'll know what you're missing. The TV show, was better than...

State of Play International Trailer

Published by

stateofplay09-3-10
The only thing that even slightly intrigues me about the new International trailer (which is not that different from the first one) for State of Play is whether or not Helen Mirren is saying "who she knew" or "who she blew"? Because it sure as hell sounds like the latter to me and changes my entire opinion. Overall, the music, the lines, everything in the trailer...

New Inkheart Trailer

Published by

inkheart08-10-07
Inkheart is a story about a father (Brendan Fraiser) and his daughter (Eliza Bennett) who have the power to literally bring books to life by reading them aloud. I think this is a great idea. Instead of recreating an old fairytale, they've found an original way to go into many fairytales. The film has an amazing cast including, Brendan Fraiser, Pual Bettany, Helen...
