One of the biggest films to hit theaters this year is Part I of the Harry Potter finale entitled, The Deathly Hallows. During the Warner Bros presentation at the 2010 ShoWest convention, they gave an exclusive first look at some never before seen footage from the film. This stuff is so new that parts of it was actually screened without any special effects.
Last week it was revealed that Warner Bros was bitten by the 3D bug, and were looking to convert several of their pending releases into the format. At the time they refused to give an official confirmation, but the cat is finally out of the bag. Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution at the studio released a statement confirming their upcoming 3D slate, and guess who made the list?
The 3-D craze won’t die, and it’s once again taking Harry Potter under its wing. According to THR, the final two films in the Potter franchise, The Deathly Hallows will be converted to 3-D, and they’re bringing Clash of the Titans with them. Just last week there was some buzz stating that the upcoming Sam Worthington film would be given a last minute upgrade in the visual department, and it sounds like it’s true.

Warner Bros has decided to release another one, and this time it’s a solo shot of Mr. Potter as portrayed by Daniel Radcliffe. Whatever it is that Harry’s staring at must be terrifying because he looks scared out of his mind.

The first photo from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I has been released. It looks like Harry and company are full fledged adults so it’s about time the franchise winded down. Over at USA Today, they’ve posted the first photo and got some exclusive info from co-star, Rupert Grint and director David Yates.
Now that Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince has come and gone, we can officially say the end is near. The last Potter installments will be entitled the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2, and will be released within a year of each other. Over at Rotten Tomatoes, they spoke to one of the stars of the film, Helen McCory about the pending finale, and according to her it’s going to be epic!
British actor Bill Nighy has been cast in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. The man who once complained he was the only Brit actor NOT to be cast in the Potter series, but now he finally gets his shot! Nighy, known for his work in Love Actually, Underworld, Hot Fuzz, and even the Pirates of the Caribbean series, wouldn’t give out details on his new gig.
“I don’t think I’m allowed to say it but I’m going to be in the next Harry Potter film,” he tells us. “I won’t say which character, but he’s a goodie. I just got the gig.”

The new Harry Potter movie hasn’t even been released yet and we are already getting amped up for the last two. Not the very last movie, but one movie that is going to be divided into two parts. Which leads us to the question… Why is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows being divided into two movies? The somewhat obvious answer to this question is that Warner Bro. Studios will be able to squeeze one more movie out of the popular franchise before it ends. Fair enough. Another obvious point, the book is pretty long, and the last book of the series should be done well. We can’t be exactly sure why the movie is being split into two, as it is probably some combination of the two, but the producer David Heyman and Daniel Radcliffe discusses the process a little more in depth.
