Tonight at midnight, Halloween 2 will terrorize audiences nationwide. Woot Woot. Last week, I attended the press conference for the film and got the rundown from the film’s director, Rob Zombie, who for such a dark and juvenile director/musician is incredibly soft-spoken and introverted.

We previously brought you some of the teaser footage from Rob Zombie’s H2 trailer earlier this week. Now, it has officially been released and you can view it in it’s entirety. It pretty much features Michael Myers literally slashing through a hospital to get to his sister, Laurie. As I said before I know this is supposed to be different from the original Halloween 2, but I still notice some heavy handed similarities. I do enjoy some of Zombies films, but Halloween just wasn’t one of them. Some early complaints I’ve read about this trailer suggests that there are a few eerie similarities to Friday the 13th. If your a follower of musician turned filmmaker Rob Zombie you must be dying to see some live action footage from his upcoming sequel to 2007′s Halloween. The director gave a video exclusive to TV magazine Entertainment Tonight that shows the mutilated maniac running a muck in a hospital. I was under the impression that H2 wasn’t going to be a remake of Halloween 2 from 1981, yet I see some major similarities in this clip. The video poster edited together the original ET footage and a slow motion version so you can get a glimpse of all the little stuff that you may have missed the first time around.

- Waltz With Bashir was named Best Picture of 2008 by the National Society of Film Critics, beating out Happy-Go-Lucky, and Wall-E. Waltz is an animated feature based on writer Ari Folman’s experience as a soldier during the 1982 invasion of Lebanon. [Variety]
- Rob Zombie’s Halloween sequel H2, will bring big changes to the traditional Michael Myers costume. The horror icon will now dawn a new mask! Yeah, I’m angry about it too, but Hollywood is at the point where their remaking entire franchises, therefore I’m not surprised. [ShocktillyouDrop]
- Check out Harold Ramis’ The Year One. It’s a Biblical comedy that stars Jack Black and Michael Cera as two lazy cavemen, who interact with some of the most famous people in Biblical history. The film co-stars Paul Rudd, David Cross, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. [/Film]
