Though it premiered at the Cannes festival to modestly positive reviews, we’re still hungry to see Tom Hillcoat’s Lawless – which stars Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, Jessica Chastain and Guy Pearce - something fierce. The film doesn’t come out theatrically until August, so we’ll have to make due with this new clip from Hulu.

It seems like every day there’s been a new bit of media released to promote The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man, or Prometheus as the Big Summer Film of 2012. Today, it’s once again Prometheus’ turn, with Entertainment Weekly releasing 17—count ‘em, 17!—new photos from the filming of Prometheus. The shots feature character portraits, behind the scenes shooting, alien landscapes, spacesuits, and repeated shots of a haunted and haggard crew.

For a while there you could say that Ridley Scott’s Prometheus was playing cute. It was embracing one of J.J. Abrams‘s favorite marketing schemes – the puzzle box – where part of the fun was not knowing what the film exactly was until you got into the theater. How’s this for badass popcorn movie fun—Luc Besson teams up with Guy Pearce to lift the basic premise of the Escape From New York/Escape From L.A. series and drops it in the middle of an outer space maximum security prison riot. Not bad, right? Not exactly the most original story—Pearce plays a wrongly disgraced and convicted government agent who’s given a chance to go free, provided he can rescue the president’s daughter from the violent inmates of a space station prison—but Pearce can make nearly anything work.
