Who didn’t see this coming? After the news broke that Warner Bros. hired a writer to pen the sequel for their upcoming Green Lantern adaptation, people started to worry about how Deadpool would fit into Ryan Reynolds’ busy schedule. The man has more than his fair share of projects on the horizon including the live action adaptation of R.I.P.D. and Safe House with Denzel Washington. Where will he find the time to do all these films and Deadpool? Maybe he won’t.

Warner Bros is wasting no time setting up a live action franchise for the Green Lantern. According to a recent tweet from DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, production on the film wrapped on Friday, August 6th after it initially began back in February. Talk about a long shoot! We just saw the first footage from The Green Lantern at Comic-Con 2010 with Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, and Mark Strong (who are all here at the panel). The footage is still very raw seeing as the film doesn’t even come out for another year and they’re still shooting – frankly it’s impressive they had so much so soon!
