As promised, the first trailer for Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet has finally arrived! It was originally scheduled to premiere on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” but I guess Yahoo Movies said screw that and decided to debut it instead. The Manga adaptation Priest must be cursed because Screen Gems has once again delayed its release. The film has been officially stalled for the third time and 3D conversion is to blame. Speaking of 3D, The Green Hornet is another project that will be released in the format and according to THR it will open in both conventional and IMAX theaters when it debuts next year. Earlier today we reported on Paramount’s decision to convert The Last Airbender into 3D and now it’s been confirmed that Columbia’s doing the same thing with The Green Hornet. This would be the cue for you to scream, rip your hair out, or jump through a window out of sheer frustration because 3D is taking over our lives.
Filmmaker Michel Gondry recently spoke to the folks over at MTV about his upcoming big screen adaptation of The Green Hornet. According to him, we can expect to see a trailer for the film sooner than later and he even gave a description of the first piece of live action Hornet footage. The video’s already been cut and it’s ready for your viewing pleasure.
