Alas! Gossip Girl has given us another season finale involving Chuck and Blair’s never-ending romance. Was it sweet and endearing? No. Entertaining? Sort of. “The Return of the Ring” was everything we expected it to be — extremely predictable. The episode was filled with callbacks to the show’s 2007 pilot, complete with a train, bar stool and a Shepherd Wedding. Can you connect the dots?

Last week’s Gossip Girl was one of the best episodes of the season. Mainly, because the gang was back together doing what they do best – taking down a villain. Also, there was a major bombshell at the end (if you haven’t watched, please catch up). Unfortunately, “The Fugitives” had a lot of ground to cover, and it left us more confused than ever.

The hunt is on. Last night’s episode of Gossip Girl was all about discovering Chuck’s real parents. The whole gang played a part in this giant scheme, but ultimately it was Chuck and Blair’s reunion that stole the show. “Raiders of the Lost Art” ended with an unbelievable and shocking conclusion.

Dead or alive, Cece always brought out the worst in people. In last night’s episode of “Gossip Girl“, Cece’s wake was battlefield central. Bombs kept dropping and exploding, and each was bigger than the last. Blair delivered some starling and heartbreaking news to Chuck; and Dr. William van der Woodsen, Serena’s dad, showed up to deliver some even more starling and devastating news to the Rhodes girls. Ah, and Georgina crashed yet another Upper East Side gathering.

The Dan complex continued in last night’s episode of “Gossip Girl“. After Serena predictably walked in on Dan and Blair kissing at The Spectator Valentine’s Day party last week, all hell broke loose between the two best friends. Usually, the Blair/Serena fights begin because Serena takes something Blair wants, but this time, there was a shift – Blair took something Serena wanted, little old Dan. Meanwhile, there’s Charlie and Charlie, who came face to face in ‘Crazy, Cupid, Love’. Last night we got to see the aftermath, and it wasn’t pretty. Let’s go over the ups and downs of ‘Cross Rhodes’.
