It’s January 17, 2010 and the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards are finally here. Tonight we’ll see what many consider the precursor to next month’s Oscars with the winners of some of the night’s top awards. This year there’s a lot to look forward to including the continuation of Kathryn Bigelow‘s non-stop assault on the Best Director category. Plus Monique and Christoph Waltz are looking to continue their denomination over the Best Supporting Actor and Actress titles respectively.
Even though there’s a lot of tension, there will be a lot of drinks as well. The Globes aren’t as stuffy as the Oscars, and will be filled with plenty of relaxed moments courtesy of tonight’s host, Ricky Gervais. The man behind both versions of “The Office” as well as the cable show “Extras,” will MC the event and we’re sure he’s got it out for a couple of well known stars.
