Love ballads and chocolate covered kisses dominated last night’s episode of “Glee“. Everyone is in love and enjoying Valentine’s Day, especially Rachel and Finn who’ve recently decided they’re going to tie the knot. Rachel’s dads finally made an appearance, and they are exactly what we expected them to be – a pair of hilarious chatterboxes. In honor of the love holiday, Sugar throws a huge bash, complete with a balloon drop and musical numbers. Let’s see if ‘Heart’ captured the spirit of V-Day successfully .

Last night, “Glee” introduced us to Mr. Martinez a.k.a Ricky Martin. In honor of the Latin star, the whole episode sort of paid homage to Latin culture with songs by famous singers like Gloria Estefan and Enrique Iglesias. Let’s go over ‘The Spanish Teacher.’

Last night, “Glee” hit us with a smooth Michael Jackson tribute episode. Previously the New Directions paid tribute to both Britney and Madonna in ways that didn’t resonate well with the series, mostly because there was too much show and not enough story. But “Michael” wasn’t just about honoring the King of Pop with song and dance, it was also about the ongoing storylines and characters. Rachel finally gives Finn an answer to his marriage proposal, and a few of the seniors find out where they’ll be next fall. Let’s see what set this tribute episode apart from the rest…

Glee” wasn’t very gleeful last night. The musical series returned after a holiday-hiatus and it was a complete water works episode. Everyone got teary eyed, including Finn, who found out some startling news about his poppa. Ms. Pillsbury and Mr. Schue finally discussed the whole marriage thing (hence the title of the episode “Yes/No”). Last night’s return episode was filled with big decisions and left us with a huge cliffhanger. Let’s go over the ups and downs of “Yes/No.”

Mercedes kicked off “Glee‘s” Christmas episode with her rendition of “All I Want For Christmas Is You”; unfortunately, there was no Sue the Grinch this year. Instead, the New Directions got to go on TV (again) to film a Christmas special, complete with sexy carolers and an Irish elf. Something neat about last night’s mid-season finale: Matthew Morrison, who plays Mr. Schue on the show, actually directed the Holiday special. Was it any good? Let’s go over last night’s “Extraordinary Merry Christmas.”

McKinley High is hosting Sectionals for the first time since 1963! This is a big deal for the New Directions, who are eager to win, but also nervous about the competition because they are lacking their biggest star (Miss Rachel Berry), leaving the club feeling desperate. Meanwhile, there’s also the Troubletones, who are determined to win some respect as a legitimate show choir and to prove themselves as more than just leftovers of New Directions. Most importantly, last night’s episode of “Glee” was filled with some exciting performances; also, we see the return of one of New Direction’s most memorable characters! Let’s go over the ups and downs of ‘Hold on to Sixteen.’

Glee: Season 3 Episode 7: I Kissed a Girl – TV Review

It’s election time at McKinley high (and in Ohio, for that matter). The race for student body president comes to an end on Tuesday night’s “Glee.” Also coming to an end? The Ohio congressional race. After all of her scheming and dirty ads, Sue finds out her political fate. But “I Kissed a Girl” is about more than votes and polls, it’s about Santana’s coming-out journey. Last time, we saw the Santana, she was slapping Finn across the face. Everyone in Glee club seems to understand that she’s hostile because she’s afraid to be herself, so instead of hating her for being a complete mean girl, they stand behind her… and sing a song by Katy Perry. Let’s go over “I Kissed a Girl.”

Glee: Season 3 Episode 5: The First Time – TV Review

It’s show time for the cast of “West Side Story” and everybody seems to be excited, except for the production’s two leads, Rachel and Blaine. The two catch a severe case of the jitters after a not-so-nice Arty tells them they lack Tony and Maria’s sexual passion. So yes, this episode does deal with teen sex, hence the title ‘The First Time,’ and after watching last night’s outstanding “Glee” episode, one can’t help but ask, what’s all the fuss about? Teens have sex, period. “Glee” has dealt with this controversial topic in the past (if you recall ‘The Power of Madonna’ episode where Rachel, Finn and Emma perform ‘Like A Virgin’). This time around, the “Glee” writers dealt with the topic a lot more tastefully. Let’s go over the details.

First unicorns, now leprechauns? What’s next, Willy Wonka? “Glee” returned after a three-week hiatus, and introduced us to the new kid at McKinley High, “Glee Project” winner Damian McGinty as Rory Flanagan. ‘Pot O’ Gold’ spent an awful amount of time introducing and re-introducing Rory as the Irish foreign exchange student and Brittany’s personal leprechaun. But despite the ‘magic’ in last night’s episode, ‘Pot O’ Gold’ was nowhere near as good as ‘Asian F.’ Still, the writers are trying to bring “Glee” back to its Season One roots, and hey, that takes time.
