Talk about coming out of left field. A trailer has been released via Entertainment Tonight for F. Gary Gray’s thriller, Law Abiding Citizen. It stars Gerard Butler as a mourning father and husband turned serial killer. I too was freaked out by that sentiment. After watching this thing I have to tell you the acting isn’t that great. It co-stars Jamie Foxx , Leslie Bibb, and a whole lot of excessive explosions.

Picture 117 Gerard Butlers Law Abiding Citizen Poster

Even though this looks like it could work as a poster for Gamer, Gerard Butler’s angry mug is promoting a different movie. It’s for Law Abiding Citizen, a film that sounds like a campy action flick from the eighties. It’s directed by F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job), and co-stars Oscar winner Jamie Foxx. The film centers on a man who turns into a vigilante when his families killers are set free after they cop a plea bargain. The film hits theaters on October 16th (as do so many other things)!

The Ugly Truth Press Conference: Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl

theuglytruth 09 7 20 a The Ugly Truth Press Conference: Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl

Last week we attended the press conference for The Ugly Truth with Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl — needless to say there was a lot of talk about sex, how to get it, how to act once you get it, and what happens when you’re not getting it. It’s safe to say that Butler and Keigl are two very different types of actors, who are both associated with a very different type of genre. Yet thank god for Butler, whose dramatic-action background brought something refreshing to their otherwise re-hased movie and their possibly dull press conference.

gamer09 7 17 Gerard Butler Describes Gamer as Violent and Beautiful

With all the summer blockbusters hitting theaters there hasn’t been much buzz for director Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s upcoming sci-fi thriller, Gamer starring Gerard Butler, but it sounds like this may be the thriller we’ve been looking for all summer. In a press conference today for The Ugly Truth, Butler revealed some new information about the film including that it’s the perfect combination of violence and art, much like the film he did before with Zack Snyder, 300. Butler states that Gamer “makes 300 look like a picnic in terms of the violence” but then adds that it’s some of an arthouse film and “a beautifully painted dark world.”

Sounds to be like “1984″ meets 300. Could it be that good? Check out Butler said below….

aniston Jason Sudeikis Joins Aniston, and Butler in Bounty Hunter

This is some news that I’m actually excited about. SNL star Jason Sudeikis, has been cast in a feature film opposite Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston. The reason I’m happy about this is because I think Sudeikis is just as funny as Bill Hader or Andy Samberg but he doesn’t get nearly as much attention. According to THR the actor/comedian will star in the upcoming romantic comedy Bounty Hunter.

the ugly truth 2 The Ugly Truth Second Trailer

A second trailer has been released for the Katherine Heigl, Gerard Butler comedy The Ugly Truth. Yes, this is another romantic comedy where Heigl plays a successful, independent woman who eventually realizes that her material success can’t fulfil what she’s lacking emotionally. Cue Butler to star as her chauvinistic opposite, who I bet you a million bucks she falls in love with by the end of the film. I love Gerard Butler, but I can’t stand him in these sappy romantic comedies. Either way you can judge for yourself whether or not the film is worth your time.
