George Clooney was on hand at Sunday night’s Primetime Emmy Awards to accept a huge honor. He was the recipient of the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award that recognizes actors who go out on a limb to help those in need. Even though his presence was for a serious cause, he still managed to have a little fun. Last fall, director Wes Anderson did what most people considered the impossible. He adapted the short Roald Dahl story of Fantastic Mr. Fox and turned it into a feature length film. Instead of taking the ever popular route of using CGI, he decided to bring the characters to life with stop motion animation. He also got an A-list cast led by Oscar winners George Clooney and Meryl Streep to voice Mr. Fox and his long suffering wife. So the question is does Fantastic Mr. Fox deserves a spot in your DVD collection?

Yesterday, we told you about George Clooney and his nonstop effort to help those who have been victims of the earthquake over in Haiti. The Oscar winning actor will be teaming up with MTV Networks to broadcast a worldwide telethon called, “Hope For Haiti.” An official press release has been sent out and we’re passing on the news to you so you can watch and most importantly help.
We have all heard about the unfortunate events that have literally rocked the nation of Haiti. The list of Hollywood actors and musicians who are aiding in the relief efforts continue to grow, and George Clooney is making sure he does everything he can to get others involved. According to Eonline, the actor is using his name to wrangle some of the biggest talents in town to participate in a Haitian relief telethon.
