The three day promotional event for X-Men Origins: Wolverine is officially over. On Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night the Fox Network aired three exclusive 60 second spots promoting the first X-Men spinoff, Wolverine. After careful examination I feel that I’ve gotten a better idea of what direction the story for the film will go in. Wolverine as a comic character has a very vague, and diluted past. So many different interpretations have been made about his origin, his age, and most importantly his claws.

The more they show of this film, the more I’m convinced that this is going to be AWESOME! Yesterday we revealed a picture of Gambit and today Empire reveals two more pictures of Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed falling from who knows where and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine battling it out with Sabertooth X-Men style. They all look really impressive, from the colors to the action, it looks like we’re going to be in for a real treat with this film.
And if you’re looking for more Wolverine action, this week 20th Century Fox will be revealing three new 60-second spots of Wolverine clips on Fox. The first spot airs this Sunday (February 15) on “Family Guy,” the second on Monday (Feb. 16) on “House,” and the third on Tuesday (Feb. 17) on “American Idol.” I’m sure we’ll have them up on the site as soon as they air, so check back in with us!
Check out all three photos below…

The characters featured (L-R) are, Deadpool/Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), Gambit/Remy LeBeau (Taylor Kitsch), Wolverine/Logan (Hugh Jackman), Sabretooth/Victor Creed (Liev Shreiber), and Silver Fox (Lynn Collins). - Scott Pilgrim vs The World has the cast that keeps on growing. Star of the upcoming sci-fi film Push, Chris Evans has just signed on to co-star alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, and Michael Cera, in the Edgar Wright graphic novel adaptation. Evans will play Lucas Lee a skateboarder/movie star who happens to be one of the many ex-boyfriend’s of Winstead’s character Ramona. [AICN]
- Casey Affleck wants to make a documentary about his good friend Joaquin Phoenix. Phoenix recently retired from the film industry at the ripe old age of 34, and has decided to embark on a career as a rapper. Sean “Diddy” Combs will produce his debut album, and Affleck wants to document everything from his studio recordings to his first performance. This should be interesting. [LatinoReview]

This week it seems like Hugh Jackman is everywhere. He’s currently promoting his new film Australia (read ScreenCrave Interview here) and was voted People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive. That’s great coverage for him, but for die hard comic book fans there’s only one Jackman project that we’re interested in. I’m talking about X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The action flick isn’t going to drop until next May, but Jackman makes an early appearance as Wolverine for the January issue of Empire Magazine. He along with co-star Danny Huston (William Stryker), both gave exclusive interviews to the mag telling fans what they can expect from their characters in the upcoming film.
More of the interview after the jump.
