It’s no secret that Scarlett Johansson wasn’t the first choice to play Black Widow in next month’s Iron Man 2. That role was slated to go to Emily Blunt, but the British actress was forced out due to a contractual obligation to another film (Fox’s Gulliver’s Travels). A year later, we’ve found out that she was offered the female lead in another Marvel adaptation, Captain America, yet this time she turned it down…willingly.
The insanity surrounding Captain America continues to get grow with the latest batch of rumors surrounding the film. Multiple sources are reporting that Channing Tatum is now up for the role of Steve Rogers, and Keira Knightley, Emily Blunt, and She’s Out Of My League star Alice Eve could appear as his female lead. I knew his name would pop up in this race sooner or later.
The Wolfman is a remake of the popular horror classic that was produced by Universal over 60 years ago. Instead of capitalizing on a more contemporary adaptation of the character the studio decided to stick with the old plot and feel of the original. This includes the overseas location and time period, accompanied by plenty of blood and gore. This film could have been an amazing revamp of its predecessor but the excessive violence and unnecessary bloodshed ruins it all.
Emily Blunt, who was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in The Young Victoria, is going to have a little face time with a few moviegoers in Los Angeles tonight. She will be having a Q&A session after the 7:15 screening of her film, The Young Victoria, at the Grove in Los Angeles on Thursday, January 14. She will, presumably, be answering questions about her role in the film, her experience filming, or anything else the audience decides to throw her way. If you are in the greater Los Angeles area, you can purchase tickets on the Grove website for the screening.
