Several movies that were on the pending release slate for Focus Features have been given the go ahead. According to Variety, the fate of six films have been made public so we now know when to expect The Eagle of the Ninth, The American, Babies, Somewhere, Greenberg, and It’s Kind of a Funny Story.

A few photos and story details have been released for some of the most highly anticipated films of 2010. Over at Collider, they’ve premiered images from The Fighter, Eagle of the Ninth, The American, and Somewhere. We’ve also got a couple of shots of Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel in their upcoming fantasy film The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, there’s so much to take in!

How did this little film starring Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell, Donald Sutherland, and Mark Strong, written by BAFTA Award-winning screenwriter Jeremy Brock (The Last King of Scotland) and directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald slip by us for so long? We didn’t even hear about them casting Eagle of the Ninth, but everything is set and the crew is currently on location in Hungary and Scotland, and they have begun filming!
