Donald Glover Reviews, Interviews & More
How’s this for a big-screen comedy casting coup—Audrey Plaza, Donald Glover, Bill Hader, Alia Shawkat, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Clark Gregg, Connie Britton, and Rachel Bilson, all in one film. Not bad, right? But then slap them into a really, really, really tired teen comedy premise (a nerdy, graduating high school valedictorian is determined to have...
Last night's Community got a little freaky. Some members of the group weren't exactly themselves. "Basic Human Anatomy" was, in many ways, a tribute to Gary Nelson's 1976 flick Freaky Friday (or maybe the Lindsay Lohan one). The episode also dealt with Troy and Britta's hardly-romantic relationship.
Last night's Community was devoted to a disease called Changnesia, which is exactly what it sounds like. As you may have gathered from previous episodes, Chang's returned to Greendale as an amnesiac. In "Advanced Documentary Filmmaking," Abed puts on his filmmaker hat and documents the different reactions the study group has to this sketchy illness.
Community, there might be hope for you yet. Last night's "Alternative History of the German Invasion" gave us the wit and humor of the Dan Harmon-era. The Germans from "Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism" return to torment the study group to teach us a lesson on who's really the bad guys of the show.
Once again, Community took place outside of Greendale. There was no Dean Pelton, and no Leonard. Instead, we got some guest appearances by Matt Lucas and Tricia Helfer, who played fans of Inspector Spacetime. In "Conventions of Space and Time," Lucas and Helfer meet members of the study group during a less-than-great sci-fi event.
On last night's Community, the gang celebrated Halloween. Yeah, we know it's February. But this is what happens when a network pushes its premiere from October to the month of love. In "Paranormal Parentage," the group pays a visit to Pierce's mansion, and gets the bejesus scared out of them.
Finally! After a long wait, Community returns to television this Thursday February 7 after the show's gone through a traumatic year. What drama you ask? Well, season four got a reduced order of thirteen episodes (fans have been worried the show would be cancelled since the first season), series creator Dan Harmon was fired, Chevy Chase left the show before they could...
Girls has returned more fearless than ever. Lena Dunham promised that if you didn't like the first season, you were definitely going to hate the second one. And now we're beginning to see why. The sex is more raw (like we said in last week's episode), but the characters also seem to be more self-involved than ever--in "I Get Ideas," Hannah is delusional about her...
Tonight would have been the season 4 premiere of Community, until NBC decided a couple days ago to hold the show, perhaps hoping to use it to replace a new show that could be cancelled shortly. That's what happened with Animal Practice and Whitney, as Practice was cancelled and...
James Cameron is tired of hearing everyone say that Rose could have saved Jack's life--so, he's going to prove every skeptic wrong with an episode of MythBusters. Also this week, Disney released a new poster for Wreck-It Ralph, which we have for you below. And word is Community's...
There is an entire genre of films dedicated to the premise of “nerdy high school virgin must get laid before prom/graduation/college,” ranging from the very, very, very bad to usually just sort of bad, in terms of quality. They almost always involve an unpopular boy or boys who, through a series of wacky misadventures, learns that sex isn’t everything/ sleeps with the prom queen/...
One thing became very clear last night – Troy and Abed are back to being TV's most dynamic duo. Cheers! Community returned to normalcy this week. The whole gang gathered around the study table where Pierce whined about never having a best friend in the group, and Britta shared another unsuccessful relationship story. Let's go over 'Origins of Vampire Mythology'....
