Yesterday we informed you of Disney Chairman Dick Cook’s resignation from his longstanding position at the studio. Cook had been with Disney for 38 years and was the man behind some of the companies biggest success stories. Almost 24 hours after the announcement, a minor backlash has begun and many actors who worked with the former Chairman are wondering where their future with the studio lies.

Even Johnny Depp, Disney’s own Jack Sparrow has reacted to the story and he is not a happy pirate.

What’s in the water over at Disney? So much change has been happening with the studio in the past few weeks. It makes me wonder if the Disney-Marvel merger was just a hint of darker things to come. Something out of the ordinary did follow that transition, and it came completely out of left field. In dramatic Hollywood fashion Dick Cook the longstanding Chairman of the company has resigned, and it takes effect immediately.
