The upcoming animated feature Despicable Me will feature a cast of well known actors lending their voices to its characters, but what about the soundtrack? It turns out that one-half of the producing team The Neptunes will take on that task. Pharrell Williams, the producer/rapper/writer will write original music for the Universal Pictures film.

A new trailer has finally been released for the upcoming animated feature, Despicable Me. The movie features the voice talent of Steve Carell as its main character, Gru one of the world’s most devious supervillains. The newest trailer expands a bit on what we saw in the previous teaser, and concentrates more on Gru and his antics. It’s an interesting sight, and be sure to check out the random hip hop music that plays at the end of the clip. It’s awesome.

Today is the day for teaser trailers! Universal just sent over the first look at the upcoming 3-D, CGI animated feature Despicable Me. The cast features a who’s who of funny men and women that include Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Will Arnett, Kristen Wiig, Danny McBride, and Julie Andrews. The film is directed by Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin, and will be released in theaters on July 9, 2010.
