This summer, the Grammy Museum wants to celebrate Elfman’s silver year in the biz of making movie scores by inviting us to “An Evening with Danny Elfman.” Grammy foundation Vice president Scott Goldman will be there asking questions and taking your questions for the man behind scores of films like Spider Man, Milk, Mission: Impossible, and of course all the Tim Burton movies like Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman, Big Fish, and Bettlejuice.

Spider-Man might be getting a reboot, but that doesn’t mean the franchise’s composer has to stop scoring superhero films. Film Score Monthly reports that Danny Elfman will be coming back to the genre with Michel Gondry‘s The Green Hornet, which stars Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz, and Christoph Waltz.

We’re kicking off Halloween with our Nightmare Before Christmas Competition. Disney has recently released Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas: Collector’s Edition on DVD and so we thought it would be fun to give some away! And just to add a another little something special, we’ll throw in an autograph to boot. So let’s get to the prizes!
- 4th and 5th place will receive a Collector Edition DVD
- 2nd and 3rd place will receive a Collectors Edition DVD or Blu Ray (whichever you prefer)
- The Grand Prize is a Collectors Bust, complete with a talking Jack and the Collector’s Edition DVD.
All DVD’s and Blu Ray’s will be signed and personally addressed to the winners by Jack Skellington, aka Danny Elfman himself.
