This week Daniel Radcliffe came out and admitted to being drunk on the Harry Potter set. We knew he had trouble with alcohol, but really? Well, drunk or not, we’ll always remember him as Harry Potter. Comedian Chris Rock told the L.A. Times that he’s got some serious plans for himself and Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy. Piles of bits and pieces for the day:
- Mickey Rourke is getting his handprints immortalized at Grauman’s Chinese Theater. The theater has recently been offering more people to get their prints in their cement, with the Twilight Cast also recently were announced to be hand dippers as well. Part of this is trying to bring new life to the theater, which has been eclipse fiscally by the Arclight theater down the street.
- Daniel Radcliffe‘s got a new movie that isn’t Harry Potter, and there’s a teaser for it. The film is called The Woman in Black. Check it out…

As we reported last summer, Daniel Radcliffe’s first post-Harry Potter film would be The Woman in Black, in which he portrays “a young lawyer who is ordered to travel to a remote corner of the UK and sort out some papers of a client who’s recently died. While ‘sorting’ he uncovers secrets and discovers that the local village is held hostage by the ghost of a scorned and vengeful woman.” And today, the trailer for the film was released.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the long awaited finale is finally here, and though fans will be able to cheer along to the film, my biggest problem is that they won’t really be able to cry. It’s hard not to like this film on some levels because even though it would never stand alone and won’t be the film we all remember from the series, it’s the finale! As always there’s plenty of fine acting, another special effects Oscar win for them lined up, and our lovable characters, BUT it’s all turned into a bit of a Soap Opera and for the end of something SO grand, the film never really makes the decisions to emotionally or tonally go HUGE which was needed in order for it to truly succeed.

The twenty-one-year old actor grew up in front of the cameras, and with the franchise almost over he’s made it clear that he wants to pursue a career in acting, so he’ll likely stay in the spotlight. It’s finally here! David Yates’ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 flies into theaters this weekend. It feels like it’s been such a long time since we’ve seen Harry Potter on the big screen, it’s nice to finally continue the series with a film that is stronger than the last. In this film the Potter world takes a turn for the worse and our three lovable characters have to find a way to fight back. Despite the few problems with this film, Yates has delivered his a solid Potter film with more action, darkness and emotional depth than we’ve seen before (except for in Alfonso Cuaran’s).

The film’s stars have been on a whirlwind promotional tour, and during it they met up with MTV’s Josh Horowitz to play a game on “American Talk.” It’s a segment where he interviewed the cast and got them to say various phrases using an American accent.
